The paper letters were cut at 8" and fit nicely on the chipboard letters. I inked the edges of the paper and the edges of the letters. I used ink for the chipboard letters since I couldn't find my black paint. It worked just fine but was a bit messy. I had to use a black sharpie to get into the corner tight spaces on the B, but that worked also.
Then, I decided to add just a bit of interest to the letters with some of the images from the Cricut Teresa Collins Chic and Scary cartridge. I welded one of the spiders to the web on the cartridge and cut that out at 7-1/4" and adhered it. I also cut the pumpkin twice at 2-1/2"- one time with the mouth and eyes using orange glitter paper and then I used the "hide selected contour" feature on the Cricut Craft Room to make a solid layer behind the pumpkin.
Finally, I loved the ominous raven and wondered how to adhere him to the "O". The easiest thing to do was use of the Close To My Heart Flip Flap plastic sleeves, tuck the raven into it and then use tape to adhere it to the back of the "O".
Since I didn't Mod Podge the letters, I would only use this inside. If you did Mod Podge, you could probably risk this outside. The web is delicate but it would probably be fine on the front door, out of the weather.
This month, Provo Craft is having a special on all their Halloween cartridges in the Cricut Craft Room. Check it out:

Another fabulous winner! Jeezaloo you folks are dynamite. I just love everything about this BOO sign. It has so many uses like hanging off dining chairs at a dinner party or birthday. How cute would it be for a bridal or baby shower! But the Halloween motif is just perfect for the occasion.

Your hanging sign really ROCKS!!! What a great idea. I love yet another great chip board idea, looks like a great one to try with my grandson next year. Don't decorate for Halloween, but may start next year. Great idea for a Christmas "JOY" hanging decoration.

Your Boo wall hanging is so sweet!
Living in Michigan with the beautiful change of seasons... Fall is an amazing time of year, so Fall is what I focus on when decorating.
Thanks for sharing your talents.
Pam

I love to make holiday decor items, and I've been trying to figure out what to make for my door this Halloween. I think a large and decorative BOO would be perfect. Thanks for the inspiration!
I must admit, I do not do much in the way of crafting for decorations at all...I probably should, but we just never seem to have the time. I'd be more likely to craft for Christmas.
I try and make new things for each season and holiday. Love this cartridge. Thanks for the new ideas.
Love it, you did an awesome job!

I do make some Halloween decorations for my house and even for family and friends. To bad I didn't see this before I went to Hobby Lobby, I would have picked up the chipboard letters so I could make this, I really love how it turned out.

I don't do halloween, but your boo sign is cute. Love the way you did the spider web.
I love that sign and the web is awesome!! Yes, I love to make decorations for the house. My most recent one was not actually Cricut made but I found this beautiful hurricane vase on Pinterest that was filled with dried red beans, dried split peas, and popcorn kernals and then you put a candle in it too. I need to add some leaves from my Cricut to the twine and bow that I put on the outside but havent had time to do that yet!
Tracy
Great Boo, especially love the web O. TFS
I don't decorate for Halloween much, but I do for other holidays. This idea is easily transfered to other holidays. Thanks for the inpsiration!
I always make Halloween decors! Everytime I get the urge to buy instead of make a holiday decor, I quickly look at the price tag of the decor and say "darn I could make this a lot cheaper!" LOL
Thanks for the chance to win this Lite cart.
Halloween is a fun holiday to make decoo for - but now that I'm an 'empty nester', I don't do as much as I once did - more along the lines of cards, LO's and a few ATC cards!!
Thanks for the chance to win Sugar & Spice - I've got 2 girls, and hoping for granddaughters someday!!!
Love this@ I love how you added the images to the center of the O's. Great idea.
I don't usually make home decor at all, but the ideas your showing are really cute! I may start! Thanks for the chance to win! My daughter is pregnant, & that cart. would be perfect for albums & party favors!

I don't make Halloween decor items, but that doesn't mean that I don't like seeing others' creations! This is super-cute. Love the spiderweb on top of the O and the raven inside the other one. (spooky!) :)
I usually do, but have been sick and haven't had a chance. Hopefully, I will get the chance before Halloween gets here.

Your TC designed wall hanging is AMAZINGLY PERFECT!!!!!! I love decorations and this year, I just haven't had the time to create some special ones like this! Why does this time of the year seem so over whelming?

Very cute! I'm not big Halloween fan, so I don't do much decorating for it.

OMG! I LOVE that BOO sign! I make my Halloween home decor. Most everything is paper crafts. I joke that my house is scary because it's really just cutesy. Here's a link to an old post of some of my 'scarey' stuff.

Very clever 'BOO'. I haven't made Halloween decorations.
Fantastic "Boo" sign! Ironic too, considering I was up until 4:30 this morning making a "Boo" sign of my own! I have a simple black frame with the word "Create" in black vinyl letters adhered to the glass, (the back is removed), hanging in my craft room. Last night, the mood struck me to make some sort of wall hanging with the word "Boo". I used letters from the Blackletter cart., and essentially built it as though I were making a card; matting, embellishing, etc. I was able to slip it in front of the glass, so that I can remove it after Halloween, and my original sign is intact. Although it took all night, I'm thrilled with the final project, and newly inspired to make alternate hanging to interchange for various holidays. That's a whole lot of use for my $1 frame from Dollar Tree!
Just pumpkins.
This is such a cute project! I don't unfortunately make decorations for this holiday but I think those who do make fantastic projects!!!
I LOVE this. I recently covered some large wood letters that spell "BOO" but I had not embellished them yet. The pumpkin, web and raven add to the visual appeal but do not overwhelm the piece. I definitely want to try this. Thank you!
Venus
Love the boo door hanger.
Luria
I've made a few, but I have so many decorations I've had for years, I don't need anymore!

197I love the sign!! I make a lot of Halloween cards but haven't made a home decor project, yet. I am headed to Hobby Lobby anyway today, so I might just try my hand at it this weekend.
This is so cute! Think I'll make one.
I am so going to make this.. But I might just put a Skull on it.. ;-}
I'm new to Cricut! I want to get the Expressions or Expressions 2. What is the difference (in a few easy words!).?? Love your blog.. just found it while researching E1 and E2. Would love to win the Sugar and Spice cartridge! I'll sign up to receive your emails. I am a consultant with Close to My Heart and they have two exclusive cartridges for the Cricut machine, so I need to get one very soon!
Haven't got to do much Halloween deco, but would love to!
What a great project! I am currently working on a haunted house scene, but I think I may save this project to make for next year! Thanks for sharing

Very Cute Sign! I don't decorate for Halloween because I do general Fall decorations for a few months!
I love it. But I might make names for the kids room like this
Love the boo sign!
Nice Halloween project. I decorate for fall, but not for Halloween. Thanks
If I wasn't living at my mother's home, I probably would make Halloween decorations, but she does a more than adequate job of it without my help.
I love the sign, though. I've often wondered about what to do with all those Halloween-themed papers I have since I don't have a lot of Halloween pictures. This is definitely an idea I'm copying.
Too cute! Love it ! Stealing it! the Idea that is. lol Melissa
Saw this yesterday and already purchased the products to start making. Better late than never.
This sign is awesome!! I'm still learning how to best use my Cricut, so I haven't made any Halloween decorations yet, but I love fall decorations and look forward to making some soon!
