Create A Critter 2 Cricut - Gobble 'til you Wobble Turkey Card

Today's Thanksgiving/Fall card was made using the super cute Create A Critter 2 Cricut cartridge.  As soon as I saw this turkey, I was in love - he's SO CUTE!  I cut him at 3-1/2", all layers.
The card itself is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and opens sideways, not a typical direction for me, but one which was perfect for the turkey size.
A strip of coordinating paper inside gives a little interest.
"Gobble 'til you wobble" is from the My Creative Time stamp set called Small Talk (click HERE to see and buy).  See the whole stamp set below:

Melanie and I offer up our prayers for all those along the East Coast affected by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy!  We pray everyone is safe, secure and does not sustain any damage.

Don't forget we are giving away a Space Party Cricut Cartridge!

How can you win?

1) Leave a comment below:  Have you bought Halloween candy yet?  I haven't because then we just eat it early and have to buy more anyway and I'm trying to stay away from that stuff...LOL!
2) Subscribe or follow the blog!

Winner will be announced Sunday, November 4, 2012 and has two weeks to claim the prize.  Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Be sure and check out Joy's and Melanie's personal blogs for more creative goodness at Obsessed with Scrapbooking and Courtney Lane Designs!

Love the card. What a perfect sentiment. We don't celebrate Halloween, but I do buy some of the candies that only come out in October. Who can resist all that sugar in the candy corn.
Thanks for the great giveaway.

Adorable card!
My husband and I will be taking our girls trick-or-treating so I haven't bought candy to give out. But my girls and I have enjoyed two bags of mellowcream pumpkins :)

Cute card. Great fall colors. Sentiment is number 1. Overall an A1 card! Thanks for sharing your wonderful holiday ideas. Don't buy any Halloween candy, the only Trick-or-Treater I get is my grandson and his parents, so he gets a special treat bag.

Super cute...love the sentiment! Yes..I've bought all my candy...we get about 300 trick or treaters...so I have to stock up early(u can't just give out one treat). As for eating them...I'm fine...unless it's open...the watch out. Lee-Ann :)

That turkey is cute. For the trick or treaters I try to buy candy that I'm not too fond of so no temptation to eat it ahead of time or be stingy when handing out to the kids so there would be leftovers.

Cute little gobbler! We live out in the country in the mountains and there are no children except for a baby in our neighborhood. Plus we are dealing with snow from the super storm, so no candy.

What a darling card. I made some similar ones using the first "Create a Critter" cartridge. I may have to invest in the second one. We usually only get one or two trick or treaters. Our area is a bit remote. So...why do I buy candy for 200? And my favorite kind?

Brenda said...

Cute, cute card! And I love that stamp set from Miss Emma!!! There are 7.8 million people without power on the East Coast, I'm not one of them thank God. 2 deaths in the PA area, 1.3 million without power in PA alone. Lots of damage but on my road we faired very well! Thanks for thinking of us on the East Coast!!!

cute card. think I need to buy the ccr2. Did not know it had so much.

Yep, bought candy early so we could have the good stuff -- Pixie Sticks!

Mr. Turkey is definitely a cute guy! Create a Critter 2 is at the top of my Christmas list. Are you listening, Santa?

Such a cute card, I love the turkey!

Donna said...

Very cute turkey! The colors are bright but still very fall. No candy in the house, we won't be around that evening. But a bag of peanut butter pumpkins sounds really good.

Such a cute turkey!
I did just get some candy for handing out. With the weather, not sure how many little trick or treaters will be out!

Super cute card! Love the CAC #2 cart! I'm expecting lots of goblins at my door, so the candy is ready and waiting!

Ruth G said...

I'm with you praying hard for those on the East Coast!
Cute turkey! Love the polka dot paper!!! Great colors!
I've got a drawer full of Halloween candy that I bought last week and quickly put out of sight (and out of mind.) Once trick or treating starts, though, it'll be every family member for themselves diving into the candy - not a pretty sight!

Treva said...

Another really cute card using cuts from CC2, now I want that cartridge!

Linda said...

Love the bird!!

Brenda Moore said...

Yes, our candy goes straight to the church for fall festival, no chance to snitch some. Your card is is adorable.

Scraprelief said...

This card is just too cute. Great job. I bought this cart and can't wait to start using it.

LemonDropMemories said...

This card made me LOL the moment I saw it. Adorable!

I don't buy Halloween candy b/c the kids in our neighborhood all go "trunk or treating" and I end up with a bucket full of candy that I'll just end up eating myself. I don't want the consequences of all that sugar, so I just make chili, watch a scary movie, and keep the porch light off.

moknowsall said...

what a cute card today. I play a game and try and guess who of the two of you made the item before looking at the bottom for your picture. I am usually pretty good. You both definitely have a 'pattern' or 'style' all your own. Joy - you are definitely more colorful, Mel - you are definitely more 'frilly'. I like both styles.

Ha! Love the turkey card! My husband bought some candy early - so of course it is already gone. We bought a couple more bags this weekend and so far everyone is staying out of it.

I bought the Halloween candy and had my college age son hide it when he was home for the weekend. I'll call tmrw to find out where it is. LOL

Great Card

Super cute Turkey card! Create a critter 2 is on my wishlist...as for Halloween candy, I just bought a bag of 50 last night, I'm like you, if it's in the house it will get eaten before the trick-or-treaters visit! I usually buy an extra bag so I don't run out (for the snackers in the house) but last year we only had about 40 costume kids (live in the country) and I don't need any left overs (or snacks)!!

Stephanie said...

Love your turkey card. I've already bought candy. I had to get the treat bags made early for my grandsons class.

Mary said...

Such a cute card. I buy candy as soon as it goes on sale to stock up on the candy jar at work. I also have to make my goodie bags for the trick or treaters up early, cause I will be working on Halloween. My husband and daughter will handle the trick or treaters this year!

Thanks again for sharing your beautiful card, I just love it and the colors you used! Hope you have a very blessed day, sheryl :-)

Cute Card! I bought Holloween candy yesterday. I usually buy candy I don't like so I don't eat it. But this year I bought my favorite Kit Kats...I hope there is still some left for the Trick or Treaters.

Love that Turkey!! I haven't bought Halloween candy yet for the exact same reason .. if it's here, I'll eat it! And, now that they postponed Trick or Treat here in Western PA, we won't be home to even hand out any candy!

The little Turkey card is way too too cute. Might just have to get me that cart so I can make some!

On the other note... just bought some more Halloween candy today. Because "somebody" already got into the big huge bag I bought a Costco a few weeks ago, and there's hardly any left!!!

Happy Halloween everyone. Hope you all have a fun & safe Holiday.

Cute card very colorful! We live way out I call it down on the farm! Houses are very far a part & far off the road our first year here we bought Halloween candy, but know one came!We live 350 feet off the road so it's a long walk. Our church sets up a table for the kids on halloween. So we get candy for that,so after church sunday we made up about 200 bags for the kids.TFS

Darling card...gobble,gobble!! Yes, I just bought Halloween candy yesterday..kind of last moment..but I had ONE...COUNT IT ....ONE trick or treater last year! The year before was not that great...maybe 15...but last year was totally off the mark! So I'm handing candy out for the 1st hour of our 2 hour Halloween period...and then I'm heading over to my grandchildren's house to see their costumes and take pictures!
