I had seen this pillow (retails for $44) on Home Accents Today and got an inspiration to make a similar pillow using iron on flocking material and a pillow and velvet pillowcase from Ikea. My total cost was $14 (pillow, case and iron on flocking material). You could probably do it even less expensively if you used regular fabric and some heat 'n bond.
In the Fall 2011 Stampin Up! mini catalog, I saw kraft bags made with a spider cut out and thought, "Hey, I've got a cut like that on the Chic and Scary cartridge..." so I decided to make these bags. I added in the corner web, also from the cartridge. These make such quick and easy treat bags for a Halloween party. They went together very quickly!

I have a Grandson, who choose to have an Owl Birthday last year for his 10th birthday. I used the owl from Animal Kingdom. We had owl invites, owl bg toppers, Giant owls on the wall, and Daddy made an awsome Owl cake. Now my Grandkids call me when they want party decorations.

According to my Mom, having owls in your house is suppose to bring you good luck. She did an entire bathroom in an owl theme just for that reason when they built their house. I love the mysteriousness of owls and they are suppose to be wise so it makes sense to me. Gotta love owls.

I remember the pillow from the first time around! Just as now, I thought then about how to change this up for every holiday. Maybe I will do better this year!! I have to say that the first time you see and owl, it is a little scary--or maybe just startling! But after the initial shock, they are very fascinating to watch.

Well, I can get to your blog from within my blog but thought you may want to know that I emailed you that when I click from the email I get from your blog your blog post comes up and it is blank except for stuff at top.
