"J" Monogram Frame with Cricut Fontopia Cartridge

Today's home decor frame comes from the new Cricut Fontopia cartridge.  I love the funky letters on this cartridge, as well as the cards.  I thought I would make this 3-D frame for my craft room wall.

Currently, you can buy the individual monogram letters for 99 cents each from this cartridge in the Cricut Craft Room program or HERE on cricut.com.

Also, Provo Craft is running a special on the whole Cricut Fontopia cartridge in many forms - check it out below:

Here's another view of the frame.  I added rhinestones to the centers of the circles on the "J" for fun - who doesn't love a little bling?  It's practically a requirement if you live in Texas, like we do.  LOL!

Don't forget we are giving away a Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge this week!

This is really a cute cartridge with some cool boxes!  Check out a box I made below:

How can you win?

1) Leave a comment below about monograms - do you use them or not?  Thumbs up or down?
2) Subscribe or follow the blog.

Winner will be announced on Sunday, August 12, 2012 here.  Winner has two weeks to claim prize.  Allow 4-6 weeks to receive.

Be sure and check out Joy's and Melanie's personal blogs for more creative goodness at Obsessed with Scrapbooking and Courtney Lane Designs!

I love using monograms and have used the mini monograms cartridge a lot of times. After watching your video on using vinyl, I used monograms to etch a set of glasses for my daughter, and a candle jar for a wedding. I think my new grandson needs a "C" for his nursery using this cartridge. Thanks for sharing, Joy!!

What a cute frame and font for the letters! I use monograms quite a bit because it's simple and you can do soooo many different things with just one letter! Thanks so much for the chance to win this cartridge. I would use it all the time as I just started getting into decorating all my tasty treats!

I'm just recently in love with monograms. I can make a card set that just uses a standard design and put someone's initials on it and then I've got a great personalized gift for someone I don't know well enough to personalize it a ton. I am a total "fontaholic", too! This cartridge is definitely on my wish list!
TFS!

Karen Wedding said...

Great job on the monogram. I have seen some monograms done with the vinyl on the glass to give dimension and included a couples wedding date. That's how I'd probably use it. Otherwise, I'd find a elegant font and use the quilling papers to fill in the monogram.

I can take the monograms or leave them, not a big fan, but have used them in the past. My last name begins with a B and I don't like the plainer monogram for the B on this cartridge so I would not use it and would use the B on someother cartridge if I wanted to do something with any of the plainer letters on this cartridge.

Great idea putting the rhinestones in the little circles to bling it up. Very nice project.

Love the framed letter idea. Now I have to make one! Lol. Monograms are really nice because of how easily they can bring elegance to anything. I have used them on cards, glass etching and embroidery. I just got asked to make something for a family living over in Damascus and am doing a card w/ a matching box of chocolates. Winning the Sweet Tooth cartridge would be right on time!

Wish I had the Sweet Tooth Cartridge when my daughter & I were making things for her wedding reception 4 years ago. I noticed there is a cake slice box. I made up my own pattern and we hand cut enough pieces to make 6 cakes with 8 slices or boxes per cake. That was a lot of cutting and glueing and use of my scrapbook papers, but we did have fun doing it and each guest got to take home a slice of cake decoration there selves with sweet goodies inside. Love the monograms idea too. So clever!!!
