Football Vinyl with the New Cricut Craft Room!

Photo by Melanie from MeFlick's Various Cut Files

Cindy S. sent a message asking how to make this decal.  She had found it on Pinterest and just loved it but didn't know how to create it in the Cricut Craft Room.

EDITED TO ADD:  I was contacted by Melanie from MeFlick's Various Forms of Cut Files and the above is her project and photo.  I did not know where the project came from when I wrote the post so I was glad to hear from her and provide links for you guys to see all her fantastic work. She originally created this with both a football and a volleyball three years ago.  It is a GREAT project - head over HERE to her blog and leave some cool comments.  She has lots of great projects like this one on her site.

So, I decided to make a video showing how to make this type of decal using the Cricut Craft Room.  Check it out below (if you can't see the video, click HERE).

This project uses the Cricut Sports Mania and Plantin Schoolbook cartridges.

Don't forget we are giving away the Teresa Collins Chic and Scary Cartridge!

How can you win?

1) Leave a comment below - do you use the Cricut Craft Room?  What do you think?
2) Subscribe or follow the blog.

That's it!

Winner will be announced on Sunday, September 2, 2012 and has two weeks to claim prize.  Allow 4-6 weeks to receive.

Be sure and check out Joy's and Melanie's personal blogs for more creative goodness at Obsessed with Scrapbooking and Courtney Lane Designs!

I LOVE the Cricut Craft Room. It's there if you need it for different kinds of projects; however, it's not required to use your machine. I think it's great!

What a cute idea to show how proud one is of their child beyond the stick figure decals everyone has. I can see lots of applications for this with all of Cricuts designs now.

I have never been to/used the Cricut Craft Room. Our computer uses our TV as the monitor, so dear hubby is always hogging the TV/computer so I don't get much of a chance to do anything on the computer. I just use my Cricut "as is" with it's carts.

Ive played around in Cricut Craft Room, but I've not used it enough to really form an opinion. I like the fact that you can use it if you want to, but you can also just use your machines without CCR. What I've done with it has been pretty easy, so I think anyone could learn the in's and out's of it quickly.
Thanks for the chance to win the awesome TC cart!!!

I love the Craft Room and hardly make any project without it! A few features are missing in my opinion but otherwise it is great!

I wish I could participate in the contest but I'm getting married in EIGHT DAYS!!!! I've got lots going on right now! Awesome idea though...I LOVE the craft room!

I use CCR almost exclusively (except for that darn Kate's Kitchen / Imagine trouble!). I love working with CCR. It so much easier to size and place projects on the "mat" before cutting.
Thanks for the chance to win. I dn't hav any of the Teresa Collins carts and would love to add to my ever growing collection!!!

Great project. I will have to us the craft room more. You made this look so easy on the video. Hope I have the same luck.

I don't use the craft room. My computer does not like the program and it doesn't want to load up. I know it isn't my computer because my computer is only a few months old and my friends have tried the program and have nothing but trouble with it as well. I email them and they weren't too interesting in trying to help me use the program....I love my gypsy, so I'm alright without the craft room.

Love this idea. The grandson is in rugby, with this idea I could make him a VIP award.

What a FANTASTIC tutorial! I need to make one of these for sure now. I LOVE the Cricut Craft Room and use it all the time. Thanks for the chance to win the Teresa Collin's cartridge. I loVE all of her work and have been wanting her cartridge for a long long time. I subscribed to your blog along time ago and also follow it as well. Thanks so much. I presently do not use the Cricut Craftroom due to my computer in one room and crafting in another - I do use my Gypsy however. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to win a cartridge.

What a neat project! Nope, I'm not a CCR user - I use my Gypsy!

I have used the CCR on some projects and love it so far. It really saved me time when cutting scrapbook paper for the six sides of a block. I love this football decal. Can't wait to try it, since I haven't cut vinyl yet. Thanks for sharing your tutorial.
