Hi, it's Joy and today's post is a card made from the Just Because Cards cartridge! I figure everyone needs thank you cards.
I cut this card and melon at 4 1/4" and the word art at 4". Very simple! After cutting the card, the front measured 4 1/4" x 6".
This melon had quite a few layers but they were large and easy to put together. I inked the edges of the layers using matching inks to give it some dimension. Then, since I always like to cuttlebug things, I ran the pink part of the watermelon through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. What was nice about this cut is that the seeds are not seeds you had to glue down but actually holes that show through a black layer underneath. So much easier than gluing...
Paper is from Core'dinations cardstock, My Minds Eye (big polka dot), Pink Paislee (black check), and October Afternoon (green patterned). Buttons from Basic Grey and twine from Papertrey Ink.
I popdotted the melon slice - always need to pop dot something!
I added a strip of matching October Afternoon paper on the inside for a little interest.

Love the card! Ever since I got the Just Because cartridge I have wanted to do that car. Maybe this summer! Ne of the things I am going to do is plant a memory garden. My Mom just passed away last week and my dear scrapbooking family gave me a gift card to a nursery to do just that! I'm really excited about that. I also hope to do some camping!

Cute card! This summer I'm going to clean out my basement and have a huge garage sale!!! It'll be great to reclaim that space! I also want to do a lot more cardmaking/scrapbooking on those days when it's too hot to be outside!!
love the card very cute idea. This summer I will be spending time with my grandkids at the beach and going for boat rides and fishing. On rainy days we do crafts inside they love playing on my cricut and are very creative.

Adorable watermelon card! I live in southern Indiana and this summer we are visiting New York. We will be staying right on Times Square, visiting the 9/11 memorial, statue of liberty, Obscura Antiques, Empire State Building, etc. Then we are off to Washington DC to see the sites, and maybe if we r lucky the President! Lol

Card is super cute. Hopfully going to pan handle of Florida. Weatherman guessing hurricans worse for this part of Florida. Love the Elmo cartridge.

We've got a few things planned this summer. My husband and I have booked a European tour to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We've also got a couple of camping trips planned and will fill in the rest with some day trips to local attractions!

Melon images are some of my favorites and your card is great! Summer brings the outdoor market season and we participate once a month. We also will visit family in Washington and might be able to fit a weekend to see Mount Rushmore.

What a cute little card... is spells summer to me! I will be going to the beach in July but every weekend in our backyard... Hubby & I put up an above ground pool and we have been enjoying that every chance we get. I have Monday's off so I get up clean the house real fast, get in the scrap room and then to the pool around 1 and take a little nap! You gotta love that!

I love this refreshing combination of colors. The overall card is adorable! My kids only have two days of school left...YIKES! We don't have concrete plans for the summer yet. But, we hope to make it to the beach, at least once. We'll also visit with family and friends who are out-of-state. My son is also obligated to next year's Freshman football team...that means a heavy practice schedule all summer long...Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Darling card. Summer is chalked full of great things to do and get done. I drive 4 boys (1 is a gradson) to two-a-day swim practice at 6 am and pm Mon-Fri. Meets on Saturdays -- parents can take them (I don't do well in the NM) sun. :) Will be Asst. Camp/Ward Leader for a girl's church camp -- this will be my first time ever attending this camp -- I'm so looking forward to it. My poor Cricut has been very busy. Birthday in July -- hope to get some away time. When I get back from girl's camp, hopefully my mil apartment will be completed and I can start putting my space all together. Presently, I'm spread out in 3 places - 1. old house 2. new house in boy's room 3. storage. WOW that was a mouthful.

Love the colors you used in that very cute card! This summer I plan to cheer my daughter on as she competes in several 5K races and another 200 mile relay style race - yikes! She's amazing, 31, and just started running a couple months ago and definitely has the "bug". Speaking of "bugs", I plan to also get reacquainted with some of my Cricut cartridges that I haven't used in a while (or ever!) this summer. Once again a great idea that I could us with my Preserves cartridge. Please do more fruit projects so I don't feel like the only thing I can use this for is canning and recipes. Either that or do some for the Florals Embellished...I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas for that one.
