Today's card comes from a couple of fun older cartridges. The flowers are from the beautiful Cricut Songbird font cartridge and the grass, sun and clouds are from the Cricut Mickey and Friends cartridge. I love to find unusual cuts on a cartridge, like those clouds and sun. Who would guess?
I love the scalloped edge on the back of the envelope.

I've found some surprise cuts like the Mushroom on Create a Critter that i used on a Mother's Day card posted this wk. Thanks for sharing the files. I found a really cute cow on my paperdoll dressup cartridge to use on my daughter's poster she made for school. I always look on both paperdoll cartridges now when I'm looking for a particular cutout. I never thought to look for the "odd" shapes on other cartridges, like the sun and cloud om a Disney Cartridge...who knew!

WOW, I LOVE this card. It is A BEAUTIFUL way to say thank you. Wow, I wouldn't even know where to begin with surprise cuts. I find that the full content cartridges have tons of hidden gems. Some of my favorites are on the Baby Steps cartridge. Along with the alphabet letter function key there are some cute bunny and teddy bear images that would otherwise be completely hidden. I LOVE them! I so wish that Provo Craft was still updating their handbooks on the website because I LOVE to see a FULL handbook before I buy a cartridge. Sometimes it is the extras that get me to buy it. Hugs- Glora

It's not that there are surprises ...but I usually go over every page looking for really neat cuts that I can use...Congratulations on 999! and I really love all those flowers on your card...I've been playing with flowers lately and there seems to be so many ways to manipulate the paper petals into very fun flowers!

Oh goodness, i love this card, it makes me not want to go to work today and to sit down and make it! As for surprise cuts, I have to say I love the extra sets of animals and the sayings inside the Create a Critter Cartridge! There is just so much to do with that one!!!

WOW 999! I seem to find a lot of surprise cuts on Paper Doll Dress Up. There are so many different 'themes' on that cart and lots of accessories! Love the colorful card!!
There are so many hidden treasures on all the cartridges. I love the leaves, lightning, butterfly net and raindrops on the Pooh and Friends cart. I would be so happy if I win the Baby Shower cartridge. Thanks for the chance.

Congratulations on 999! Wow! I usually buy a cartridge with a specific cut or cuts in mind! I am often surprised when I leaf through the handbook and see all the wonderful things you cannot see by looking at the back of the box!

Cute card - and I especially like that it could be recreated from a number of other cartridges. I have found some amazingly lovely frames on cartridges. I also found a flourish/doily type image on a Christmas Card cart that worked perfectly for a Sympathy card. It's fun to find these kinds of uses for images on seasonal carts.

I always find it interesting that designs from something like a Mickey Mouse cartridge can be beautiful cutouts for totally different things, such as a baby shower. Cricut offers a wide variety on each cartridge and I love that! I'm new to Cricut and love all that I'm learning from you. Thank you.

I have found that the icons that are on several of the cartridges are really the best cuts. Like on the princess cartridges, I used Cindrella's shoe and pillow for wedding pages.
Anothe surprise that my friend used recently was the Cindy Lou box. She used it to make an Easter basket for everyone in our crop group. They were really sweet.

Wonderful card and congrats on 999 posts! I am happy whenever I find a layer or shift-shape that I like even more than the main shape on a cricut cartridge. Also - perfect circles found on Campin' Critters and cute snowflakes and lips on Don Juan (a font cart!).
Cute card! I think A Child's Year has the most variety of things you wouldn't expect on a cartridge! So many cute things to use for other projects besides all the adorable child images.

as for surprise cuts... i've found several on Paper Doll Dress Up - very cool dragons and castles. One of my favorites, though, is on Spongebob. It's the saying "Best Day Ever" i like to use on bdaycards!

Love the card! I really appreciate when you showcase the unexpected cuts available on different cartridges. I can't think of any specific cuts I've found, but I'm always amazed at the variety each cartridge contains.

I've found a lot of cute suprise elements on Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I love the evelope idea since that is a issue when making a card, and I just ordered Wild Card 2.

Beautiful, vibrant card, and I love the shadows on the clouds too.
I think the biggest surprise as far as a cartridge goes is how much I continue using the Going Places cart, one of the first I bought. I've used the circle with a line through it more times than I thought I would (as in "no cameras/pictures!" and no talking). :)
Haven't found to many that has surprised me, BUT I did however discover an error cut on Happily Ever After! That shocked me!

Awesome "Thanks" card. Provocraft needs to cool it on all the new cartridges and such and let us enjoy some of the "older" tried-and-true cartridges a lot more.

Ohhh my goodness. I am new to Cricut, but I already know that I need all of the cartridges I can get. I would also love to have a Cuddle! I have been having so much fun experimenting with my cricut.
I was happily surprised to see that the letter a on the Pooh Font is appropriate for preschool displays. In most cases, the letter a on a cartridge doesn't look like the one they are learning to write /recognize.
Oh, such a cute card! Who wouldn't love to get this! I've often wondered what you designers do on the inside of cards. Nice touch.

love the card. Can't imagine getting that big of an envie in the mail. lol!!! The only extra i ever found was a little heart and now I don't remember which cart it was on. I guess it doesn't matter because I have a lot ocarts with hearts on them. I love the Mickey cart and have used both the clouds and sun. I would love to run them through the cuttle bug but i don't have one.I would love to see you make more every day cards with some older carts, like get well soon, just a note, haply anniversary, sympathy,etc.

I love the card!! No, really! It made me think about all of the carts I have and how I could mix and match them. I don't often think outside the cart I am using. Something to think about....
