True Friend Card - Country Style

Hey everyone!!  My name is Amy and my little place in the blogging world is called Scrapping Mommy.  I am so super excited to get the chance to be guest blogger here today.  I have been a long time follower here at Everyday Cricut and love to see what all of the talented designers and guest designers have to share with us every day.  I am also blessed to be a part of Emma's design team at My Creative Time and can't wait to show you how awesome her stamps are to work with....they perfectly compliment the Cricut.

My card today is 5 x 5 inches.  I used my Cricut Imagine and the Imagine More Cards cartridge with the George and Basic Shapes cartridge to print and cut the red gingham square at 4.5 inches.  I stamped the new Spring Chicken Backgrounds chicken wire stamp from My Creative Time (check below on how you can win this stamp set) with brown onto some white cardstock and then inked and distressed the edges on both papers.  I then sewed them together with my sewing machine with some brown thread.  I adhered these two to the 5 x 5 inch kraft cardstock base.

The chicken and pig are cut with my Cricut Expression 2 and the Country Life cartridge at 3.5 inches.  I pieced the layers together and then added some ink to the edges and pen details.  I tied a large linen ribbon around the card and added a button and some bakers twine from The Twinery.  I adhered the pig and chicken die cuts with dimensional foam adhesive.  I then stamped my sentiment with the Many Greetings Stamp set from My Creative Time onto a strip of white cardstock and distressed the edges a little with some brown ink.  I added a couple of antique brads and then adhered it to my card with some more more dimensional foam adhesive.
