Canvas home decor made using the Spring Cottage cartridge.

 Hello, everyone!

Today I have a project I made using the Spring Cottage cartridge. I actually got the idea for the project from a wall hanging I saw at Wal-Mart the other day. Yes, I got inspiration from Wal-Mart! Inspiration is everywhere, ladies! Anyway, I snatched this panel up because I just loved the soft blue and the flowers. This is so my style. Anyway, I was looking at the Spring Cottage cartridge and noticed a bird on a branch. I thought I could mimic the panel somewhat. Well, at least I thought I was worth a try!
Here is the original panel.

So I bought a plain canvas at michael's and painted it completely with a soft aqua color. Then I pulled out a nice soft cream color and drug it softly across the canvas just to add a little texture.
I then cut the bird and branch out at 6" and adhered it to the canvas. Lastly, I added a few adhesive backed pearls. I just love how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by this week!

Don't forget about this week's stamp giveaway!
I will send out 10 My Creative Time stamp sets to one lucky winner!

You did an excellent job playing off of your inspiration piece, but pairing it down, to focus on one element. You may have just given me the shove to try something I've thought about 100 times. That is one of the reasons I follow you and Joy faithfully. Thank you.

Of course inspiration is EVERYWHERE that is as long as U can just B, & R not riddled w/PAIN where each step U take as u step off the ball of Ur foot. It then feels like someone is stabbing your spine w/a sharp serrate knife.
So no wonder I have a hard time being able 2 come up w/something on my own. So U keep up getting Ur inspirations fm everywhere,& I'll just keep looking @ the blogs.
