As soon as I saw the newest Cricut digital Easter releases last week, I knew I had to make a card with this sweet little chick and that cute word art. Check out the images from the Cricut Happy Easter digital mini cartridge below ($9.99):
These digital images can be purchased HERE and used in the Cricut Craft Room and on the Gypsy.
Above is a close up of the layered word art - lots and lots of layers! This was cut at 2-1/2".
Above is a close up of the chick and egg shells. Also cut at 2-1/2".
Above I used two layers of grass from Plantin Schoolbook cut at 1-1/2" and 1-1/4". The card needed something to ground it and this grass fit the bill perfectly.
How cute is this perfect sentiment from My Creative Time's Happy Hunting stamp set ? Check it out below:
You can purchase the Happy Hunting stamp set HERE.
This card is 5" x 5" square. You can find the Gypsy file HERE and the Cricut Craft Room file HERE.

this is so cute!!! love it!!
I already follow the blog. My favourite Easter tradition is the morning egg hunt, which is now into its third generation as a family tradition. Loved it when my mommy hid things for us to find and have great memories of doing it.
What a sweet card...you did an awesome job of creating on this one!
Wow...what a give away I'd love to be the lucky winner...fingers, eyes & toes crossed lol
Thanks for the chance.
Love the card! My favorite memory is of my boys when they were little and we would hide the eggs in the yard for them to hunt!
Tracy
Love how you tucked the egg in behind the grass, very cute card!! I remember hunting real eggs when I was little at the VFW Easter party and they had numbers on them, they would call out numbers and if your eggs matched you won prizes, it was so much fun!!
Such an adorable card!! I love Easter and spring and all the cute little eggs and bunnies and chicks and flowers that go along with it!!!
A favorite Easter memory for me has to be when my daughter came home from college one year (she was 21) and told me that she would not be participating in the early morning easter egg hunt around the house that year. She was too old now and she would sit and watch her little bro and sis do it. I smiled and nodded approval. Easter morning came, and just in case, I put out an extra basket. Well, wouldn't you know, my 21 year old couldn't resist and started looking everywhere for the eggs. :D We have her in photos and on video laying under the table searching (our Easter bunny likes to use duct tape and hide eggs under things), racing her sister to eggs, etc. All I could do was watch and smile, glad that my little girl was still inside my adult daughter. :D
I love the card!!!! I wish you could by the images to put on the Gypsy. PC really needs to get on that! My favortie Easter memory is when we would go to my aunt and uncle's house for Easter dinner. All the kids would play outside then we would all get together and chow down. Great family time.

I love this little chick, it's really cute for Easter and little ones! I have many little ones I take care of, (I'm a nanny for three families)and I always make them holiday cards, this cart would be great for the kids. I love the pink and yellow colors you used!
My Easter family tradition was to go to church, then the Easter egg hunt, followed by a Easter brunch and visit with the Easter bunny, then Ham dinner with family and friends. Thanks for a chance to win. I'm a new follower! Modemgirlz@aol.com

I love this sweet little Easter card!
Your card is super adorable. Love the bright colors and all the cuts! My favorite Easter tradition when I was young was always the egg hunts. Now that I have my own children, I still love this tradition... watching them hunt for eggs is so sweet.
My favorite Easter tradition is when we dye eggs as a family and put marshmallow peeps in the microwave!
My favourite Easter tradition is making "Jesus buns" (Hot Cross Buns) with my daoughter. She was 3 when she started asking me to make them - it took me awhile to figure out what she wanted. Now she is 12 and can make them herself!
Cute baby chick! I love the pinky color!
Such a cute card. Have not yet tried the digital cartridges. Favorite Easter tradition would have to be the egg hunts with the kids.
Such a cute card. Love the bright colors for Spring.

That card is lovely. The colors make it pop and it doesn't hurt that the color combination is one of may favorites. Awesome =)
every year we would go to our friend Mindy's house to celebrate Passover with her. We each would be given something to bring.. my Dad's job (he was the cook in the family) was to bring tzimmes - a sweet potato dish..
he made it .. but thought.. hmm this looks a bit plain ima dress it up.. so.. he fried some bacon pieces to put on the top.
As you can tell he was not Jewish hehehehe.. the people that were, however, thought it was hilarious :)
Now, even though he is no longer with us, every time we go to Passover at Mindy's we tell the story in honour of him :)
This card is so cute! I love Easter and Spring time I have lots of favorite memories spending time with my family. We always have an Easter egg hunt at my mother-in-laws for all the adults and I usually find the money eggs which everyone always gets mad at me. Their just jealous!
Cute card. I need to work on some Easter cards too.
Thanks for the chance to win the cartridge. Have one grandson and another on the way so would love to make them a book.

One of my favorite Easter memories is when 4 of the neighborhood families would gather together at Lake Seminole for a BBQ and a big search for Easter eggs. What fun the we had searching all over the park to find the last egg. Only to find that my father had hung it from one of the trees! With 18 children running around searching none of us ever thought to look up.
The Easter digitals are awesome! I just bought the Easter Basket last night!! Your card is super cute!! I can't wait to make Easter cards!

FABULOUS card ~ terrific colors! Spring is coming!! Favorite Easter mamory ~ my granddaughter, when she was 2, was hunting Easter Eggs at our house. We must have hidden 100 of those little plastic eggs. After awhile I noticed her walking right by eggs ~ stepping over them ~ to get to an egg to pick up. It's then that I noticed, she was only picking up the pink and purple eggs to put in her basket!! She's still, at 8, a pink and purple girl!

Adorable card. Love the layering! My fav Easter memory is that when my father would take us to the local zoo for the annual Easter egg hunt. Cute little chick! Pretty card. Love the colors. My favorite Easter tradition other than church was hiding plastic Easter eggs for the kids to find. When they were small eggs were filled with candy - when they got older - money. Kids loved it and we had fun hiding them.
Love your card ... so colorful and cheery. One of my favorite memories of Easter when I was a child is leaving for Easter Services at my church and walking outside in my Easter dress and finding it had snowed overnight & the Easter jonquils were so pretty against the pure white snow.

That is such a great idea, to overlap the grass because if you just layer one strip of grass, it doesn't cover side to side. Thank you for this awesome tip, and I love the card!

Love your cute chicky card. I remember being pregnant with my 3rd child a few years ago and enjoying a wonderful Easter with my hubby and kids but kinda wondering when she would get here since it was only a few days before her due date. My son told me not to worry, that she would "come tomorrow". And she did! She arrived the day after Easter (fortunately still a school holiday that year,) and turned one before she finally celebrated her first Easter! Baby's have their own schedules :)
So cute! Thanks for the cut files!

Super card! When my older kids began to get bored with the traditional Easter egg hunt, we started playing our own Easter egg version of Deal or no Deal! It was fun, even my mother-in-law wanted a turn after the kids!
super cute card! thanks!
My favorite Easter memory still is the feeling of awe my siblings and I experienced every time we answered the knock on the door on Easter morning to find beautifully decorated and filled Easter baskets had been left by the Easter bunny for each of us. Magically, the bunny always made his getaway before we could reach the door. :)
My favorite Easter pastime is all the family gathering for a huge Easter lunch after church.

I don't know if you would call it a tradition, but & felt special Easter mornings wearing a new dress & bonnet to church.
This is a very adorable card!
I would have to say my favorite memory of easter is when our family would get up super early and go to morning service our church held out in the country. It started right before the sun came up over the horizon and it was the most beautiful time of the day with our Creator and Savior!
Our Easter tradition is to go camping with several extended family members (30-50 people). It is so great to spend quality time with family that we don't see that often.

When we had figured out the truth about the Easter bunny, my mom had to step things up a notch. So every year she would hide our Easter baskets in really sneaky spots and we had to find them.

Omgosh! This is ADORABLE! :-) My favorite memory is waking up on Easter as a teenager to a beautifully decorated table, complete with champagne glasses and pretty little boxes... which turned into an upscale family breakfast with mimosas and inside my box: my favorite! A See's Candy lemon truffle. We didn't really celebrate Easter as most families do, so this one was extra-special for me. :-) Thanks for the chance to win!!

Love Easter cards, and this is adorable! Better get started on mine... I celebrate Orthodox Easter (usually a week later than the "general" one). We always color eggs and decorate them, and we have a big roast lamb dinner. We live quite far from our church so going to midnight mass with a little one is a challenge, but hopefully in a few years we can do that again!
I love cracking eggs.

Love the card andthe cartridge is on my wish list! My most memorable Easter was in 2009/ I had what was supposed to be same day surgery and had to spend the night. They sent me home the next day. On Easter Sunday my husband brought me to the hospital because I was blue. My O2 sats were 47. I was admitted to ICU and stayed for almost 2 weeks. If hubby had not brought me when he did I wouldn't be here. The funniest part of all this is that even though I do not remember much from Friday before surgery until about 2 weeks later, I made Easter dinner and hubby said it was the best meal he had eaten in a long time! Guess I just have to be at death's door to cook a memorable meal for the family. Thanks for the chance to win this awesome cartidge.

As a child it was all about the Easter egg hunt. As a mom of young kids, the same. Now I appreciate the church services declaring Jesus conquering the grave!
Love this Easter Card! Here comes Spring!! Yippee!!
Kathy
My favorite Easter was last year watching my nephew find eggs at my parents' house. He was 2 1/2 and finally understood the concept of finding eggs. He would get so excited every time he found an egg and would jump up and down while screaming "Eggie!" It was hilarious. After we found all the hard-boiled eggs inside, we had a hunt for plastic eggs outside, but even that wasn't enough eggs for this little guy. After dinner, we re-hid the plastic eggs in the house for him to find at least another dozen times. Can't wait for this year's hunt!
Super cute! TFS!
This card looks so nice and the cart is great!

I love how you artfully combine cricut with stamping to create unique, artfully creative projects. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge!
Your card is so cute! My favorite tradition is hiding the Easter Baskets. My kids are older now but still like to search for their baskets.

Such a cute card! My favorite Easter memory...besides getting candy?? I always loved dyeing Easter Eggs! Such fun!
So darn cute! Lee-Ann :)
Looking out the window at my grandmother's waiting for the Easter bunny!
Love this card! The cartridge looks like a fun one with lots of creative possibilities.
very cute
My favorite easter tradition as a kid was dyeing and hiding eggs but unfortunately I didn't do anything last year for my 17-mth old. Maybe this year we'll do something...we'll definitely have some chocolate though ;)
Your card is so adorable!! Love that cute chick and love Emma's stamps! Thanks for sharing! lindagk23ataoldotcom
I love dying the Easter eggs for the Easter bunny to take and hide. Haven't done that in a while but now with a grandson in the picture it won't be long before we start it up again.
Our favorite tradition is getting a new outfit for everyone to attend mass on Easter Day. From new shoes, tights, socks, tie, dress, everything is new! To celebrate a renewed beginning into our Christian faith!
Hard to believe that Easter is just around the corner. Cute cartridge just in time for it!
I'm thrilled that Cricut thought to include a lamb/sheep! Many companies only think to sell chicks and bunnies. The only time that lamb stuffed animal toys are available is this time of year (and they aren't everywhere even then).
Love this card it is so cute!
Super cute card!

I'm going to have to get into the digital carts. The My Quiet Book has been a favorite of mine since it came out. I would love to win it.
Our family's favorite tradition is to make a bunny salad for Easter Dinner. It's from and old Betty Crocker cookbook and I made it in Home Ec class in Jr. High. It just a pear on lettuce, ears from almond slices, cottage cheese tail, raisin eyes, and red hot nose. My adult children make it every year for their families!!!
I would love the cartride as I just had my first granddaughter and I'm planning to make her a quiet book.
Love that cute card. One of my memories of Easter was when I went downstairs early Easter and got my basket and went back to bed with it. It fell off the bed and all the eggs cracked. I was so upset because all the pretty eggs weren't so pretty anymore. Not sure if that would count as a favorite memory! Regina

Favorite Easter Tradition: Easter Egg hunts in our living room... right up until we got married! We we would tear apart the living room in search of those precious chocolates and still it never failed. 4 months later someone would find a rougue jellybean that avoided detection!
I love the card. My husband raises rabbits so I'm always on the lookout for bunny cards! We have had many different traditions in our family. As a child I remember getting a new dress and shoes for Easter. Dad would get Mom and I corsages for our new dresses. As we grew older, we would camp with our camping family. The adults hid the egss for the kids (mostly teenagers) and then we would hide them for the adults. They could never find them. As adults, we cook a breakfast at church for all who want to come from our church family.
