Valentine Postage Stamp Card

Hi, this is Katie from Crafting with Katie.  Today is my last day as your guest designer, and I want to thank all of you for making this such a fun week!  I so appreciate all of your sweet comments.  Thank you to Joy and Melanie too, for inviting me to be here this week!

So far this week I've shared projects for Thanksgiving, winter, and Christmas, and I thought it would be fun to throw a Valentine into the mix!  I created my card today with the Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge, cutting the postage stamp card and coordinating square layer at 4 1/4" (it will fit in an A2 size envelope).

I pulled out my trusty Cuttlebug for all of my layers.  The sweet envelopes were created with the My Creative Time Embossed Envelope die.  What I stamped and heat embossed onto the envelopes are actually sneak peeks from a brand new My Creative Time stamp set that is being released tomorrow:  100% Sweetness!  This is an adorable Valentine's Day set that even includes a stitched heart die, which I used to cut out my cork heart.

Be sure to stop by my blog today to see a sneak peek of another My Creative Time stamp set that is being released tomorrow.  This one is a Valentine's set especially for kids, and there is also a new die that you will NOT want to miss!  Emma has once again graciously donated one of my all time favorite My Creative Time stamp & die sets for me to give away (shown below):  Build a Banner Kit!  Just leave a comment on my blog for a chance to win!

Recipe:

Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy & Dark Chocolate Cardstock
Martha Stewart Patterned Paper
Cork
My Creative Time "Embossed Envelope" & "Stitched Heart" Dies
My Creative Time "100% Sweetness" Stamp Set
Versmark Ink
White Filigree Embossing Powder
Papertrey Ink Vintage Button & Rustic Cream Button Twine
Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen

That papertrey poppy paper is gorgeous and I love the cork heart - I wonder if we can get a flat cork like that in the U.K -I'll look into that- yet another amazing thing that the Cricut can cut. Glad that you've enjoyed your visit to Mel and Joy's blog and I'm off to visit your blog now as I've enjoyed your projects - thanks.

Diane said...

Oops, just realised that you cut the heart with the new Creative Time die collection but if I can't afford to get that at least you've inspired me to use cork on my projects (if I can get it here).
