I cut the "Peace on Earth" at 6" using iron-on vinyl - my new favorite product that you can buy HERE at Expressions Vinyl. I got the pillow at World Market (see HERE!) and I liked it immediately because the pillow case zips on and off, making iron-on a lot easier.
Now, I ran into some difficulties because this pillow is a bit velvety. So, it didn't want to iron-on quickly. Then, while it was still warm, I attempted to remove the plastic backing. Bad move! That messed up some of the sections. Not too badly, though, as they are hard to see in the photos above. But, what I learned is to wait and peel off when it cools. I found this out because I got frustrated when it messed up a bit and set the whole project aside, while I calmed down. Then, much later, I picked it back up again and went to peel off the plastic and it came off like a dream. If only I had been more patient...
