Hi! My name is Katie, and I am so thrilled to have been asked by Melanie and Joy to be a guest designer for Everyday Cricut! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wonderful son, Eric, who is turning 16 this week! Although I am a busy teacher of a 2/3 combination class in a public elementary school, I try to carve out as much time as possible for crafting.

I purchased my first Cricut Expression two summer ago, when my sisters and I decided to make a scrapbook for my dad’s 70th birthday. I quickly became hooked, and began experimenting with card making, along with scrapbooking. I now also have a Gypsy and an Imagine, and it’s not often that a day goes by without my working with at least one of them. On National Scrapbooking Day in 2010, I decided to start a blog so that I could participate in some challenges. Blogging has been a fun way to share my ideas and to meet many wonderful new friends. It’s also led to some great design team opportunities. I’m currently a designer for My Creative Time with Emma, which has been a blast. I look forward to sharing some fun creations with you this week!
