Today's pillow project was made using the new Cricut Teresa Collins Sophisticated cartridge. I just love, love, love the word art on this cartridge. There is a whole feature key dedicated to the word art. I love the elegance of the Teresa Collins cartridges. Check out the images below:
I took a striped 20" x 20" pillow case as the base for this project.
First, I ironed it (again with the iron...).
Then, using the Cricut, I cut out the "Home Sweet Home" word art with black fabric at 14-1/2" using a 12x24 inch mat. Use the portrait key in the regular Expression to get the image sized at 14-1/2". I did test out how it looked using black paper before I settled on a size.
Using the same steps to cut fabric with the Cricut as shown in Wednesday's post, I then ironed it onto the pillowcase and put the pillow back in. Viola! All done! Quick and easy!
Did you see the new Cricut cartridges released yesterday?
Melanie and I have projects up for all the new cartridges on our personal blogs, Obsessed with Scrapbooking and Courtney Lane Designs! Be sure to check it out!
Finally, don't forget we are giving away an Ornamental Iron Cricut cartridge and TWO Martha Stewart Cricut Cake cartridges (Elegant and Seasonal Cake Art).
Leave a comment below to win the Ornamental Iron cartridge and a comment HERE to enter to win one of the two Martha Stewart Cricut Cake cartridges

Well, you inspired me. I went out, bought fabric and made a T-shirt for myself to wear to my daughters' swim meets. The letters are green and blue (yes I even did layering) and says Tsunamis Mom (Tsunamis is the team name) and has the splash from the Sports Mania Cartridge as the "O" in Mom!
I love it!! Thank you so much for the great instructions. I've been wanting to make something like that but haven't ordered heat transfer vinyl because of the cost. The material was all of $1.50 for both pieces! Woo hoo, watch out I'm gonna be a personalized mom wherever I go now.
Thanks again,
Michelle
