Hello, everyone!
First off, we've had lots of questions on how to leave a comment. Check out this post on our FAQ page to see how (third question down).
Today I am going to answer some of the question that were asked last week about the NEW E2 Cricut machine. I hope that this will help you all decide whether or not this machine is right for you.
- How much will it sell for? We have not been told this information yet. As soon as we know we will announce it here.
- Why is it a limited edition? Is it because of the color, the cartridges that it comes with, etc.? The color and the cartridges that are included are supposed to be apart of the limited edition. E2 machines after this limited edition will have different cartridges loaded on to it. However, the main two cartridges(Cricut American Alphabet and Cricut Essentials) may be on the non-limited edition E2's as well. It is my understanding that Just a Note and Cricut Decals are the two limited edition cartridges.
- Why would you want an Imagine and an E2? The E2 does NOT print. Only the Imagine can print. The E2 is just the 2.0 version of an expression. It will cut images from an Imagine shape cartridge, but it cannot print the images before it cuts them.
- Does the E2 have something like a "pause" and "continue" feature?Yes!
- Does DesignStudio work with the E2? Not currently, but it might in the future. It will work with the craft room though.
-How is the WI FI feature used on the E2? I do not have many details, but it will go into the middle slot on the back of the machine.
-Will you be able to wirelessly download your Scrapbook room projects to cut on the machine? I am not sure. This is a great question though!
- Will the E2 do everything my current Expression will do plus the new features? YES!
- Is it at midnight on the night of the 25th into the 26th? No, it will air at midnight on the 26th.
- Will we be able to link up the new carts that come with the E2 to our Gypsy? I am not sure, but it seems unlikely. I am not sure though.
- I noticed that you can't move the images around the mat on the screen of the E2. Is there ever going to be such a feature on the machine? You can move the images around to some extent by using the space key. I am not sure if there will be more capability later, but I will pass on this idea to product and development for you!
- Does the E2 cut chipboard, shrinky dink, etc like the E does? Yes!
- Does it have the different modes like (portrait, auto-fill, fit to page, and center-point)? Yes
- Can full size markers be used since there isn't an overhand for the blade housing? Not sure why not.
Thanks so much for all of your questions! I hope this was helpful!!

Thanks ladies. I have the imagine and am not sure I will need the E2. However, if I didn't, I would get it just to be able to cut imagine projects. Those carts rock!

Thanks for the info on the E2.
Interested but still on the fence ($).
It looks fab but I have an expression and cannot get an E2 :( maybe an E3 :)
Thanks for all the info, love some of the new features and curious to see what it sells for but doubtful I will get one, my hopes is to one day own the Imagine!! I'm hoping and praying!! Thanks
Cindy
I guess I don't see what the big difference is except for Wi-Fi? Thanks for the Q&A but I don't see buying one of these anytime soon. You ladies do a fantastic job!
I'm still debating if I want the E2 machine. I'm just getting the time to discover all what my expression machine can do. I guess I will be up at midnight watching and seeing for myself!
What an amazing giveaway! I keep saying to myself "Are you kidding me". WOW
I am sooo excited about the E2!

Thanks for all the info. I can always count on you for the latest and greatest. Thanks
I have the Cricut Create & Expression, so I don't know if I would buy the E2, unless it does something really different. But for first time Cricut buyers it could be worth it. (Not that I would refuse an E2 for free!)

Thanks for the info, I also have a question... I am from canada and hsn does not ship here, is the E2 going to be available to buy in Canada?? thanks
sierrababy08 at hotmail dot com
I love the new features on the E2 and want one so badly.
This is a GREAT Q & A! I have had so many questions about this machine and you hit them all on the head! Thanks guys!
Thanks for answering some questions
Thanks for the info & everything else you do for us everyday!
Thank you for all those qa's!
I have another one for you!
Will the E2 be available in stores as well as HSN? If so do you know when?
This machine looks awesome! I will be watching for sure on the 26th!! Thanks for answering some of the questions for us! Hugs, Leanne

Thanks for sharing some information with us. I'm so excited for this to come out!
Great info I learned somethings I didn't know. Thanks for the information.

Sounds like the E2 will be pretty cool. I can't justify buying when my E has been so good to me. :) My 2nd machine will probably be the Imagine!
Thanks for the Q&A. Some good questions - I am curious now: Why wouldn't the E2 work with DS? And why wouldn't the new carts work with the Gypsy? That strikes me as odd.
The pause and continue feature is excellent, though, and the wi-fi is pretty exciting.
I'm still not sure whether the E2 is my dream machine. Someday, PC will come out with a combination E2 and Imagine...
Thanks for the FAQ. If my current Expression brake, I might consider buying this one, but for now I think I will stick with my trusty Pinky!
Would love to be able to print my own paper and vinyl.
Thank PC for awesome giveaway!
Looking forward to seeing what I can do with my new E2.
Thanks for all the answers!
Thanks for the information and the chance to win!!
I'm on the fence on this one, thanks for the information.
Thanks for the info!
Thanks for the info! I just got my original Cricut Expression at a steal - this is probably why!!! Thanks again for posting (oh, and I would love to win the Imagine!)
I think the E2 looks wonderful and I can't wait to get one when I win the lottery! LOL
The E2 sounds exciting...
Looking forward to hearing more about the wi-fi and how that will work. Not sure if the E2 is on my "need to have" list, but am really leaning more towards the Imagine all the time. Thanks for th great info!

Thanks for answering dome very valid questions. But unfortunately I am not convinced yet but still wishing I had a Imagine, that's for sure.
Thanks for the info--y'all are so great about answering questions!
What an awesome giveaway! I would love to give this machine a try. If it does all they say, it will be fantastic. Thanks for the opportunity to win one!
I just bought my expression so I doubt that this machine would be right for me but I appreciate all your insight!!!
hmmm.....think I would rather have the Imagine (someday) and my E than the E2.
Thanks for the information.
Michelle
Great questions and answers!
Thanks for answering all of the questions. I would love to have an E2, but can't justify it right now. I just got the Expression is December.
amandawoodau at hotmail dot com
I still can't decide between the E2 and the Imagine. Hopefully I won't have to make a decision right away.
I think I would just rather buy the Imagine. Thanks for the info Melanie!
I want a new machine and now I must choose between 2! I really think I like the printing factor of the imagine though!
Great information!!! :) If only I had waited...my Expression hasn't even been used more than half a dozen times so far!
Thanks for sharing,
Jennifer

I just bought me Expression and I like the sleek look of it. I don't think I'll like not being able to fold the top into the rest of the machine like the rest of them, including the Imagine.
Hmmmm I guess I will count on your girls to let me know if upgrading to the E2 is something to do in the future. Thanks for giving us the headsup on what you know so far.
smiles...
Tammy
I love the green color!!

Thanks for the information but not sure I need it at this time.
So excited about the E2! Thanks for answering so many great questions! :-)
Dang cartridges that are already loaded, there's a selling point. It would take some time getting used to the new format, but I think I will learn! LOL
Thanks so much for the Q and A session. I would love to have this fabulous machine to match colors and patterns on my LO's. Thank you for the opportunity to win one.

Thanks for your question and answer post. I would like to own one of the E2 but I am still trying to decide if I really need it. Of course if I won it I would know that answer LOL. Thanks for a chance to win.
Thanks for clarifying some things with E2. It is always difficult when new products come out to get all the correct information. It is nice when you have someone to fill in the gaps of information. Thanks girls. Thanks for the chance to win an imagine.
Thanks for the information!!!!
Thanks for the Q&A...since i have the e already, i am thinking of owning an imagine.....
Thanks for the Q&A on the E2. I am wanting to upgrade from my cricut create and trying to decide do I get the E2 or the imagine. I am excited about a chance to win the imagine.
I'm just starting to get comfortable with my Expression, therefore not likely to get the E2. But I would love to have the Imagine. Right now I can only "imagine" all the pretty prints it has.
Gloria
Waiting for my machine...looks like I'll need one for my classroom too! The kids will love decorating with the vinyl around the art room! We can do lots of cardmaking and bookmaking projects with it as well! Very Excited. Thanks for all of the information for a newbie!
I think the E2 looks awesome! You can use the gypsy with it though, right? Also, will you be able to download and store carts on it just like the gypsy?
This surely would look good sitting on my counter in my scrapbook room!! mom25boys84@yahoo.com
Thank you for the Q & A. Gives me much to think about
I will be watching in the 26th. I am looking forward to the E2 coming out. karen_schluter at hotmail dot com
The E2 looks fun, but my E works just fine~ Can't imagine spending money on a new one until mine dies from abuse~ :D

I am getting excited for the E2!
I have an expression but if I need to replace it I would replace it with the E2.
Great questions and answers. Great information.
I'll have to watch on the 26th to fully understand all it does. The older I get, the more of a visual person I am becoming! Sounds amazing!
rtswah1992@hotmail.com
Thanks for answering so many questions. I would sooooo love to have one. But money is tight so I guess for now I'll have to keep using the one I already have.
great info. I am still debating when I purchase whether to go for the E2 or the Imagine. How much smaller is the E2 than the Imagine? And if the Imagine could print other documents (school, work, etc), fax, and scan (LOL), it would make my buying decision super easy! :)
Thanks for the Q & A about the E2! I'm still on the fence as my Expression is less than a year old and I'm not sure I need to upgrade quite yet! But it sure is pretty and I love that you can use Imagine Carts with it! So many things to think about! Thanks!
hugs,
joni
Thanks for the Q & A on the E2. Provides good information to consider.
Thanks for all the info ladies, you guys are so smart.
carilee5@hotmail.com
Looks neat, it will be interesting to see the price.
Thanks for the info!
Thanks for the additional information
I really like my Expression, so I'd love to win the Imagine--different enough to compliment what I already have. And love the printing capabilities!
I love it when you guys review a new product and then answer questions...usually I get all my questions answered this way.I think this E2 looks great.
kubinec@tbaytel.net
Can't wait to see what all the E2 will do!
Katy
this is the first time I hearing about this one. I would love to see a side by side comparison, unless it's a monitary thing I can't image why someone would buy this instead of the imagine. Any thoughts?
these are all great questions and answers! I do have another though. You wrote that this machine does have a portrait mode...why? it is already cutting in portrait. Our Expressions cut off to the side, where this one cuts at the top. Am I correct??
Thanks so much for your work and dedication.
lizahenderson814@yahoo.com
Looks like I may need to put this on my gift wanted list.
Thanks for posting this info abt the new machine. Once again thanks as well for the giveaway
Thanks for the great info on the E2!

Thanks for answering the questions. Can't wait for HSN and see how much this will cost. :) JenBrierley2 at gmail dot com
I would love to get one. It looks pretty cool. Thanks for a chance to win
Looks like an amazing machine! The information I got is that you can change the color on the sides. Do you have to buy that color of machine or are the colors interchangable?
Thanks! Holly
hollyshobbie at gmail dot com
lots of good info here! thanks for sharing
Such a decision. Of course my Expression I have now works pretty well so I can see the Imagine being more to my liking. Hmmm...
YOu need to mention the pre-loaded cartridges on the E2 that are exclusive! Thanks for the chance to win! cjdempsey9 at msn dot com
E2 sounds interestng thnx 4 thd info. But it seems very similar to the expression. I would luv the imagine for vinly.
~becca~
this is soooo helpful. thanks
What a fantastic give away! I can't decide if I want an E2 or an Imagine.
Thank you for all the information you give to us. Your hard work is appreciated.
Thank you for all the answers. It's great to have all the info in one place. It's on my must have list. papermemories4u @ yahoo .com
I know I would love the E2. I've watched a lot of tuts, but I haven't even had my E for a year yet. Can't justify it...
Burffrau @ aol dot com
Thanks for the info. I just got my Expression an upgrade from the baby bug, so I think I would hold off and my next upgrade would be to imagine!!
Thanks for all the FAQ's! I am really intrigued by this machine!
Thanks for the additional info!
Thanks for answering all those questions. It really clears it up. Now all I need is money to buy it.
The E2 looks great. Love my Expression though. Maybe someday when I win the lottery I can have them all!
Thanks for the Q and A. It does help to know what the machine will and won't do to make a more informed decision on whether to purchase it or not.
~Saundra :)
Thanks for the info! I can't wait!!!
Thank you for answering these questions for us. The E2 sounds great but I'll have to wait to see the cost.
thanks for answering questions on the E2. I would use it for making cards.

This looks like a great machine, but I would rather have(win) the cricut "imagine". Thanks for all the inspiration, information, and knowledge!
thanks for the great tips and clarifying I hope to get one.
Very helpful thank you.
Thanks for all of the info! If you already have an E (about 2 yrs. now), would you upgrade to an Imagine or an E2? I would love an Imagine but I'm not sure how much I would print. The E2 looks exciting! Advice?
Thank you for your honest answers -- I would love to be able to purchase one of these on 'premiere' night, but I'll have to settle for just watching everyone else with theirs until I can scrimp and save to get one... It looks fantastic!! :)

WOW..what an insane giveaway.. It looks way cool. Of course it does.. It's a CRICUT.. lol
i'm very excited about the E2, however i'm somewhat apprehensive about it not being compatable with design studio. i use that program almost 'always'.
You really gave us good info. I loved the new machine when it was shown but not sure that I really need it.
Wow!!! I am so excited for this machine I am so contemplating upgrading to this!!!

Thanks for the Q & A. I'm still not entirely sold on this machine yet but it looks really cool.

Would love to be able to cut cardstock/chipboard. I can't do that with my Cricut Create.
Thanks for all the helpful info on the E2!
Great info on the E2. I'm excited for the launch and would love to get the machine but will have to wait and see the cost first.
cathieforman at hotmail dot com
Does the imagine cut and print? That sounds like the one I want!
my Cricut just broke and I am in NEED of a new one SO BAD so thanks for the chance to try to win one.
Wow! That would be a nice thing to have.
Great info!! I would love to win this prize!!! Thanks.
Thank you for the great information. Looks like a good upgrade from the Expression. I do really love my Expression and what I can do with it!
Oh my goodness - I can't wait! Thank you SO much for the chance to win the E2! :) Kelly
The E2 sounds good, but I think that if i had/have the oppertunity to puchase a new cricut I would probably lean towards the imagine...but that might just be because of its additional functionality and how the E2 is sounding like a nonprinting imagine
the new machine looks like a mini type Imagine. I guess i will need to see it in action.
Lori
Thanks for all the information on the E2. I'm not sure I will jump in on the launch, but might wait on the price to come down or when I need to replace my current E. TFS.
Kathryn
I just got my Expressions, so I can't ask for another one :( However I always have to use my gypsy if it doesn't work with it then I can't have it.
I was just thinking last night that I wish you guys would answer some questions about the E2 which you did THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I would love to have the E2 but I really want the WiFi working!! Thanks for the chance to win!!!
Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to the premiere!
Thanks for answering some of my questions. Still really up in the air about this one.
thank you for the explanation on E2. Lots of times, i get questions to new version, and you explained it all! :-)
Thanks for the answers. You made me think of some more questions. I'll post those on the other page and hope you get them in time.
The E2 seems really nice, but I still have a deep love for the Cricut Imagine. Hope I can win this time. Smooches... frankleecrafts@gmail.com
Thanks for answering all our questions. I wasn't convinced I needed it until I found out about the cartridges that came with it!!! Hope the Canadians can get the limited edition too!!! Now if only I could that money tree I grew to start growing!!!!!!!

I'm thinkin' I really NEED this toy...er...essential!
Thanks for sharing the info about the E2! I'm trying desperately not to "NEED" it, but, I don't know if I'll be able to resist when the time comes :)
In the meantime, thanks for the chance to win such an awesome giveaway...I've got my fingers crossed!!!!!!
Thanks information on the E2. Sounds interesting but for now I am happy with my Expression. I do not have an Imagine that is why I would like to win this

Thanks for the info on the E2. I have an original Expression. No need for an E2, but an Imagine? You bet!
Candy

I have an Expression and don't see the need for an E2. It sounds like a nice machine. Of course a free one would be welcome anytime.
So far, I love everything Cricut! I can't imagine this will be any different! Can't wait to see what is improved about this over my Expression and Imagine ;)
My Expression is only a year old so I won't be buying the E2 ~ although it does have some cool features I still like having the keypad overlay instead of having to scroll through all the images on the screen. I'd take a free one though! LoL

Thanks for the Q & A. I'm going to get at launch, but not happy that different cartridges will be loaded with the next batch of E2's. Hope they will be available to those of us that buy at launch.
Janell
LOOKS GREAT! ... but already having an expression- I'm excited to get an Imagine! :)
Can't wait to hear more about it.
This machine looks promising! Plus the 4 carts included is just icing! Thanks for answering some questions on this.
I sent one of my friends to check out Everyday Cricut and she asked how to post a comment also. When I get an e-mail from Everyday Cricut, I HAVE to click on the title to get to the correct screen. If you just look at the e-mail, you can see everything that is on that days' post, but you can't comment from that screen. That may be why people ask. There is no "comment" section unless you click on the title and get to the actual blog page.
Thanks for the great info on the E2, another one for my wishlist :)!
Thanks for all the great info. I won't be getting one, but find it interesting anyway. :)
Thanks for the answers, still trying to decide between an Imagine and the E2 - too hard to decide!
Thanks for the informative post.
Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions
Thank you for all the information! I am really looking forward to finding out how much it costs.
Well, I AM getting the E2 (thanks for the QnA here), but the I is also on my wish list for cards and banners and gift wrappers/tags.
I am a follower and have added your blog badge to my blog!
Thanks ladies!
as wonderful as the expression 2 sounds. I will await and hopefully have an Imagine one day! why.. because it prints and that is the main reason I would want this - I love the "print" and cut feature. I love paper and this is an awesome feature!!! but I will readily be watching the preview! I so wish I could get those new cartridges though!!
parkernana5@cox.net
The E2 sounds exciting! I would love to have one! Thanks for answering so many of our questions.
Thanks for the info. . .but I am not sure if I can justify a purchase - I could tell my husband it was the only way to get the limited edition cartridges that I just had to have LOL
Thanks for answering all of those questions!!
Thanks for the many answers. I don't think the E2 is for me, I like being able to put my cuts anywhere I want to on the mat. Just got the I and I feel that it has that limitation and I don't care much for that so I'm going to stick to my reg. E.
Donna C.

I haven't had my expression for even a year yet. To me it sounds like, if I should choose to upgrade it should be to the imagine not the E2. Thanks for the info though!
I just got my expression bu the E2 looks pretty amazing!
Thanks so much for the information Melanie. This is really helpful and I'm definitely putting the E2 on my wish list.
