Hello, everyone!
First off, we've had lots of questions on how to leave a comment. Check out this post on our FAQ page to see how (third question down).
Today I am going to answer some of the question that were asked last week about the NEW E2 Cricut machine. I hope that this will help you all decide whether or not this machine is right for you.
- How much will it sell for? We have not been told this information yet. As soon as we know we will announce it here.
- Why is it a limited edition? Is it because of the color, the cartridges that it comes with, etc.? The color and the cartridges that are included are supposed to be apart of the limited edition. E2 machines after this limited edition will have different cartridges loaded on to it. However, the main two cartridges(Cricut American Alphabet and Cricut Essentials) may be on the non-limited edition E2's as well. It is my understanding that Just a Note and Cricut Decals are the two limited edition cartridges.
- Why would you want an Imagine and an E2? The E2 does NOT print. Only the Imagine can print. The E2 is just the 2.0 version of an expression. It will cut images from an Imagine shape cartridge, but it cannot print the images before it cuts them.
- Does the E2 have something like a "pause" and "continue" feature?Yes!
- Does DesignStudio work with the E2? Not currently, but it might in the future. It will work with the craft room though.
-How is the WI FI feature used on the E2? I do not have many details, but it will go into the middle slot on the back of the machine.
-Will you be able to wirelessly download your Scrapbook room projects to cut on the machine? I am not sure. This is a great question though!
- Will the E2 do everything my current Expression will do plus the new features? YES!
- Is it at midnight on the night of the 25th into the 26th? No, it will air at midnight on the 26th.
- Will we be able to link up the new carts that come with the E2 to our Gypsy? I am not sure, but it seems unlikely. I am not sure though.
- I noticed that you can't move the images around the mat on the screen of the E2. Is there ever going to be such a feature on the machine? You can move the images around to some extent by using the space key. I am not sure if there will be more capability later, but I will pass on this idea to product and development for you!
- Does the E2 cut chipboard, shrinky dink, etc like the E does? Yes!
- Does it have the different modes like (portrait, auto-fill, fit to page, and center-point)? Yes
- Can full size markers be used since there isn't an overhand for the blade housing? Not sure why not.
Thanks so much for all of your questions! I hope this was helpful!!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 565 Newer› Newest»Thanks for all the Q & A's. I still think I am gonna pass on this one and hold out for the imagine :) I love my expression I have right now :)
I am so excited for the e2 release and can't wait to get my hands on one. Thanks for the great information!
I am weighing this one out...I own the I and The E so not sure how much more the E2 will do that the other two don't. Is the E2 compatible with the gypsy? I use my Gypsy most of the time so that is a must. Thanks for sharing info about this new machine <3
Thanks for your help and information!
Nice giveaway!!
I'm excited to see all of the things the E2 can do. Still can't decide between the E2 and the Imagine!! Decisions, decisions...
Thank you for answering all these questions. I'm really struggling with whether to buy an E2 or an Imagine next. Decisions, decisions :)
Wow, this is a great machine. Thanks for the chance to win lclass003 at gmail dot com
I feel like it's taken some of the "mystery" out of cutting... I'd love to have the ability to program for paper types. Esp Vinyl because I always have to look up the settings for the 'kiss cut'. Thanks!!!
i feel like an expert now! thanks for asking and answering all those questions on the e2!
As always, thank you so much for all of your information! I'd be lost without your posts and inspiration! I'm hoping one of my friends gets this so I can see it in action, I can't justify it right now. Thanks for another chance at winning an imagine! :) jessio22@yahoo.com

Thanks for the info! I didn't realize Imagine cartridges could be used to cut with the E2.
Thanks for the info & everything else you do for us everyday!
Would like to see the E2 in action... thanks for the Q & A today. I have the original cricut which I haven't used in over 2 years so I'm giving it to my niece and nephew and also have the slice which I've maybe used once... I am happy with my Expression and the E2 will have to have a lot more changes, new stuff to persuade me in buying a new one :)
Great information on the I2 today. Thank you for your research.
Thanks for the Q & A. The info has helped alot. Thanks for a chance to win.

Great information. Thank you for having the giveaway.
I like how you described the E2 as the next version of the expression. Helped me put it into the right category. I'm thinking the price will be a big determining factor on whether to get the imagine or the E2. TFS all the info.

Everytime I think I have the latest and greatest they come out with something new argg!
I am hoping for the E2 (maybe early Mother's Day) and was wondering how smoothly the machine works with the gypsy?
Thanks for filling us in.
Thank you the insight! Decisions, decisions...

I'm having second thoughts about my birthday gift to myself. A trip or the E2? I wish I knew how much the E2 costs.
I Have the Expression and would still like the E2 and the Imagine. Can't figure out which one...

Thanx for answering some of my E2 questions. The feature I like the most is the lighted blade area. Unfortunately I will have to wait until my first E dies before replacing/upgrading.

Thank you for all the valuable information on the E2, and also the chance to win an Imagine
Thanks for the helpful explanation of the differences between the E2 and the "first edition" Expression. I would be THRILLED to win this machine!!
Thanks for all the info!!
I love the color of the E2, but it seems like they still might need to work out the 'bugs'! I might wait for the E3! Love the color though!
I like my regular Expression. And I like Design Studio..so you made this an easy decision.
Have a great Tuesday everyone!

I don't have an Expression so now might be the time to upgrade from my Cricut Create
Thanks for the information. It looks like a great machine. I love the decals cartridge.

I think that the E2 looks great. I worry about them not making the cartridges with the keyboard once this gets out on the market. I heard that it might be 2 or 3 years but that it would happen. Thanks for answering our questions.
Ugh my husband is going to kill me. I had no desire for this machine until everybody started talking about what it can do. I have limited crafting space and have an Imagine and one of the Walmart exclusive Expressions they sold last year. The Expression has never even been out of the box but now I want the E2. Maybe I can sell the Walmart one on ebay! Thank you for all the great info.

Thank you for the Q & A on the E2. I can't wait to see it on the 26th. Thanks for the chance to win the Imagine! You gals are so talented, TFS!!!
So glad people are thinking of these questions to ask because I'm sort of clueless about the E2 and not sure I'll be able to watch the launch on HSN!

Thank you for the info on the E2 and for the chance to win the Imagine :)
Looks like you have cleared up a lot of questions. TFS!
Personally I can't justify buying a new machine, but this would be a wonderful one to have.
I'm interested in the E2, and would also like to know when craft room is going to be available.I have the expression. I have design studio but it acts up on me, so really excited about craft room comin up.
Thank you for the information. It will be helpful in deciding to purchase an E2 if I don't win one. :-) - Cil

Thanks for the info. Still hoping to upgrade to the Imagine someday...but good to know what's what so I can decide.
Great answers. If I am correct, we can use our G with the E2, right? Thanks. Sandy C. sczcecatyahoodotcom
This is great info, thanks for posting it.
Thanks for all the info!
I cut everything on Expression through my Gypsy, so don't think I would want E2! Would love to have an Imagine though! The printed and solid papers on cartridges would make it so much easier for me to find ones that match! I spend way to much time choosing paper to use.
Thanks for the Q/A! Very interesting.
Great Q&A post! Very informative! Thanks for a chance to win an Imagine machine - I've really liked the projects that have been made with it on your blog!
sueot33@yahoo.com
The E2 has some nice features, but if I had to choose between it and the Imagine, I think I would go with the Imagine. I like the printing aspect of it. Thank you for answering questions that helps all of us learn the characteristics so we can decide what is best for our needs!
It will be interesting if you can get some of those answered! I can't wait to see it on hsn!
The E2 sounds so nice but I can't justify getting this when I have the E1. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for all the info Melanie!!!!
I hope I can get one, It is at the top of my birthday list...

Thanks for all the great info about the E2.
Thanks for the information
I think that Provo craft needs to let us know what they intend to do about the 2 extra buttons on the Cricut Expression? Does anyone know anything that I do not? I am happy with my Expression and Plan on Keeping it.

Thanks so much for answering our questions. I am highly considering getting the E2. My expression is 3 years old and still works fine, but I read somewhere the life expectancy is only about 5 years. I like the exclusive carts that will come with the limited edition machine, but I am afraid I may also like the carts that come with the regular edition too!
Thanks for the E2 information. I look forward to learning more.

forgot to ask about the gypsy. Is the gypsy compatible with the gypsy?
Thanks for this post...it really answered a LOT of my questions!
Thanks so much for answering those questions! Is the craftroom up & running yet? If not, when? Thanks so much :)

Wow, lots of info. I'm still not sure which machine I want to upgrade to. All I know is I want to be able to use 12x12 paper! Not the 6" my current machine uses. I would want it just so I could CUT the imagine cartridges I think... hoping my name's a winner!!
I just bought the Expression... if I'd known another version was coming out so soon, I may have waited. I do love mine though!
Thanks for answering our questions--You answered the quetions about the Design Studio, but how about the Gypsy? Will we be able to design in our Gypsy then cut it on the E2?
Sooo soooo soooo exciting!
Thanks for all the info on the E2.Times are hard right now.But I would LOVE to WIN the IMAGINE! WOW! What a great giveaway,Thank you Ladies & Provocraft!

Thank you for answering all these questions regarding the E2. I cannot wait to see the price, since I may invest in it if I do not win the Imagine. With a baby on the way, I cannot afford the Imagine.
I like the new options on the E2. However, I probably won't buy one until my Expression dies. I still want to get a Cake machine and an Imagine.
Thanks for all the info. I am curious as to what the cost will be though.... Guess I'll have to wait!
Thanks for the great information about the E2. I have an Expression and if given a choice, I would rather have the Imagine. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

My Expression is 5 years old. One of the functions is no longer working. I am holding out for the E2. My only question is the limited edition or wait? Is there an advantage of one over the other than the cartridge difference? Thank you. I would really love to win the Imagine!!
