And we're back! Melanie and Joy's Caribbean Cricut vacation and "week after" recovery is over and we're so glad to be crafting again!
Welcome to today's fun boot scootin' easy card! I used the boot from the Just Because Cards cartridge and using the flip and weld feature on the Gypsy, I created a shaped card.
I set the size at 5" for the boot shadow layer and created the deep pink card layer. Then, using the boot layers, I made all the other parts. The card measures approximately 5" tall by 3" wide. It would make a really cute card to go on a gift bag also due to it's smaller size.
I love to use the Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles folder to add texture to my cuts - especially things like balls, whales, fish and of course, these boots. By sanding some of the bubbles, I created an ostrich/leather like texture for the boots. Some gems and faux stitching finish things off.
I love, love, love this "Brave Girls" stamp set by Melody Ross for Unity Stamps (see HERE to buy them). How cute and inspiring is this message!

Making a shaped card is much cuter than the actual card in Just Because. I imagine that I could adapt the directions using Design Studio ??
