Aloha, Take a Peek at the New Anniversary Expression 2 Machine!

Get ready and grab some coffee - we have a lot to cover today!

First off, the new Expression 2 Anniversary Machine!

Exciting times today! The new Expression 2 (E2) Anniversary edition arrived yesterday and below, we have an "out of the box" video showing you what's what. This machine will be debuting on April 26, 2011 on HSN and we have some fun things planned out for the launch!

I also have a project today using the new Luau Seasonal Mini cartridge. Now, I have to apologize in advance because I have broken a little rule we have here at Everyday Cricut. We try very hard to only use one or maybe two cartridges per project. That way, it's not so overwhelming. Well, I ended up using three cartridges on this 5" x 5" card.

Say what? Yes, it's true. I used the new Imagine Berries and Cream Colors and Patterns cartridge for the majority of the paper you see. Only the flowers, "aloha" and ticket shape use Stampin Up! cardstock. The ticket shape is from the Songbird cartridge. And, of course, the leaves, flowers and "aloha" is from the Luau cartridge.

Now for some details: I cut the pink flower at 2" and the yellow flower at 1-3/4". I pop up the center piece that came out of the large pink flower. The leaves were cut at 1-3/4" and 1-1/4". The Aloha was cut at 1-1/4". The ticket shape was cut at 2-3/4", base and shadow. I used one of the Asian inspired folders from the Cuttlebug Plum Blossom set to emboss the white ticket shape.

I popped up the ticket shape using pop dots.

Inside is finished off with some layered paper in a strip - also from Berries and Cream Imagine cartridge.

Your card is beautiful, as usual. I love the bright colors - goes with the spring time weather we finally have here on the California Coastline!
