To A Good Egg Card

Today's card was made using the new Cricut Kate's ABC cartridge.  I cut this bird and egg motif at 2-1/2".  There were some other little small flower parts that I chose not to use based on my design.  It was an easy motif to layer, although I chose to back the eye and wing sections with a darker orange for some contrast.

Today's "to a good egg" card is an unusual size for me - it's 4-3/4" x 6".  I did this to make a nice layering size around the frame.  I die cut the Spellbinders frame using the Cuttlebug.  I love this frame!  The white layer was also embossed with the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder and the Cuttlebug.  I like the texture the Cuttlebug adds.

I am loving the stamps from My Creative Time!  This sentiment ("to a good egg") is from the Color Me Happy set that has all kinds of spring and easter sentiments.  You can check out all her cute stamps here at My Creative Time.

I used some new paper from Close To My Heart and the ribbon was from Papertrey Ink.  I also used a die from Papertrey Ink to make the scalloped rectangle section on the inside.  I will stamp that when I am ready to send the card out since I don't know yet if this will be easter, birthday, thank you, etc.  Mini pearls from Hobby Lobby add a final detail in the right corner.

One more day until Provocraft releases new cartridges - so fun!  Melanie and I will have projects up using the new cartridges on Thursday, once they give us the go ahead to release them.  So, keep an eye out!
