Love You Holiday Cakes Card!

This 5"x5" card was quickly made using the Holiday Cakes Cricut Cartridge.  I cut this "Love1" image at 3-1/2".  Check out the photo below:

To do this, I cut the shift base image in pink to get the "XO" and "love" shapes.  Then, using the Plain Base feature key, I cut the base image in pink and the shift base image in red.  Finally,  using the Plain Shadow, at 3-1/2", I cut the base image in white and then increased the size to 3-3/4" and cut it again in brown. Then, I layered the red onto the pink.  Then the pink onto the white.  And then, the whole thing onto the brown. Finally, I put the "XO" and the "love" on the top.  Finally, I used a white Signo Uniball pen to create some stitching around the edges.

I used the Basic Grey's Bittersweet collection and some white ribbon from Papertrey Ink.  Brown scalloped edges were cut using the Fiskars scallop punch.  Main image was popped up using pop dots.

A quick bit of paper on the top inside finishes off the card.

Have a great day!

beautiful card. I just wanted to say i'm so glad you incorporated the brown into the card. It looks so good. Not many people will use brown as a valentines color they usually just associate the pinks and reds with valentines. However, I think the pink and brown colors go great together. You really did an awesome job on this project. I can't wait to try it out myself. Thanks for sharing this with us.
