Cricut, Chocolate, and a Holiday of Love..............

Hello everyone--I am so glad to be here sharing with you all.  I know it seems like forever since I shared due to the holidays.  It is great to be back!  I have a great Valentine's Day card option that will make everyone wish you were their secret admirer.

So these are just plain old Hersey bars that I have made into a cute yet tasty Valentine's Day card that could be used at your child's school, in the office, or put a dozen together to make a super sweet gift for that someone special.  To cover the candy bar you need to cut your paper to 5 1/2" wide and 5 3/4" long to allow for a good fit and over lap on the bottom. I used my ATG gun to apply my sticky and lined up the edge of my paper with the seam of the packaging on the back side of the candy bar.  Than I pulled out  my cartridges and stated to work.  Using mostly scraps these came together in about an hour with no pre planning--if you did all of them the same you could get about 15 done in an hour, maybe 20!

All of my cuts were at 2".  These great lips are from the Tie the Knot Cartridge and the stamps are from the Sweetheart Workshop on the Go kits available Feb 1 from CTMH.

For the XOXO I used the Nursery Rhymes Cartridge and cut the shadow in a solid pink and used SU glitter paper for the base layer.  I used a couple of pop dots on the o's and angled all the letters a bit to give it a wonky sort of look.

This one was made using an additional strip of cuttlebugged paper and a sentiment from the Sweethearts Cartridge.  Added a bit of faux stitching and a bit of bling to top it off.

Cindy Loo was the cartridge of choice for this one--I simply love the animals on this cartridge.  The stamp is from CTMH Priceless Love Word Puzzle (D1348) and a fiskers punch.
On this I, straight from the nest was used and the bird almost matches perfect!  I used some SU seam binding ribbon to finish it off.  These may be a bit more expensive than a box of character cards but the impact is priceless--what more could you want than cute and tasty!!!
I do hope you were inspired.  I would love for you to check out  my blog were I am giving a way a cricut cartridge just for leaving a comment on my blog, and you can get double entry by leaving a comment here as well.  I really do hope to see you over at my blog Scrapguy's Paper Crafting Adventure.   I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and make sure you keep checking out Everyday Cricut often to see two of the most talented paper crafters I know, Joy and Mel, showing us so many things we can do with our fav toy--or cricut
Make it a great on.

fantastic gift idea....years ago I made a HERSHEY'S sleeve and cut an opening where the "HE" or "SHE" would show and used them for baby cards so it would say It's a HE or It's a SHE. Then decorated the rest of the overlay sleeve with baby things.

I love the glitter on the lips and XOXO. It's time to think pink for sure! Happy day to you, J
