Today's card is a scraplift from a sketch from the Mojo Monday Blog. If you haven't checked them out, you need to because they have got some fantastic unusual card sketches over there and frankly, we all can use a sketch or two now and then to spur our creativity! Hey, that's my story and I'm sticking to it...hee hee!
This is my last card using the Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge and I found this scalloped circle card shape on page 38 of the handbook and knew it was a winner (see below). Isn't it amazing what fantastic hidden gems are on this cartridge? I LOVE it!
I cut today's card at 5" and the cream circle at 5" also, Then, I cut the red patterned paper at 4-3/4". The paper used is Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather line and the chipboard ornament on the front is from their Mitten Weather Ready Set Chip collection. I pop dotted the front section with the ornament and ribbon. Mini pearls are from Hobby Lobby.
I love the double sided paper aspect - these dots are perfect for the inside. I cut the beige circle here at 4-1/2" and used Papertrey Ink stamps on the front and back. Ribbon is also by Papertrey Ink.
I whipped up a quick envelope using my Scor-Pal and embossed the back of the envelope flap. I almost broke my Cuttlebug doing this as my envelope is made from Core'dinations cardstock and it was very thick to run it through.
Here is the card and envelope together! I decorated the front of the envelope with a strip of patterned Mitten Weather paper and a cardstock cutout. This will also be a teacher card for Christmas.

What a great card! I'm thinking I NEED the Birthday Bash cartridge. I hope that Michaels has them at a great price for Black Friday. :)
Oh my goodness! I was so impressed with the card and the embossing on the back of the envelope that I didn't even notice how pretty you had decorated the FRONT of the envelope!! Actually, that might not be as bad as it sounds...1st of all it means that I looked at it more than once & 2nd of all it means that I saw something more each time I looked at it! Great job, I look forward to your next creation!!
