Christmas Cricut Crafty Gift Tuesday!

Crafty Gifts can really be anything: frames, mini-albums, mirrors, etc. When you start thinking out of the box, you can really create some fun and beautiful items.

One of Joy's favorite crafty gift projects from last year were these glittered ornaments!

These are so quick and easy to make - my favorite kind of project! It's also another good one to do with the kids. My daughter is actually in today's video, as she helped me make the ornaments. We had a wonderful time doing this!

The best part is this project only requires five items:

glass ornaments from the craft store
Martha Stewart fine glitter (can buy with coupon!)
Pledge Floor wax with blue top from Walmart - see video for picture of bottle
plastic wrap
ribbon/Cricut cuts/anything else you want to decorate the ornaments with (picks, etc.)

I decorated the red ornament above using my favorite cut from Winter Woodland, the word art "Joy". You could also decorate the ornaments with any of the tags from that cart.

I owe this idea to the website Stampers Quest - thank you!

To see how to make these ornaments, watch the short video below. If you can't see the video, click HERE!

Here are some other samples I made:

Melanie's has Mini Album Madness today! Mini albums make the best little gift for a loved one! The best thing about them is that they are small, have a clearly defined beginning and end, and give the receiver a manageable handful of pictures to cherish!

This is Melanie and when I got a Your Story last year I made this book as a gift for my son's teacher. I also got the chance to really use the AWESOME Elmo's Party cartridge. This was really fun project and his teacher absolutely loved it!

This is the front of the book. All pages are laminated with my Your Story(which works like a dream!). It is bound with a bind it all and I tied ribbon to the metal binding.

Now I do not want to scare you, but I used a number of cartridges on this project. Mainly because it was a gift and I wanted to use the most perfects cuts for the job. It actually was a tough choice because there are so many great school themed cuts. The cartridges I ended up using though are:
Elmo's Party
Locker Talk
A Child's Year
Designer's Calendar
My Community

The first page is made with Elmo's party and Locker Talk. Most of my small lettering is cut at 1 1/2" using Elmo's Party. 'Class', however is cut at 3 1/4". 'kindergarten' is cut at 6 1/4".

'ABC' is cut at 5".

'100' is cut at 5 1/2"

'colors' is cut at 4 3/4", while the crayons themselves are cut at 7"(love love love those crayons!)

'week' is cut at 3 1/2" and the days of the week are made using Designer's Calendar and are cut at 2 1/2".

'year' is cut at 3" and the months are cut at 2" using Designer Calendar.

Sorry the photo of this one is terrible...I had a horrible time with this one. I almost did not include it on this post because of the photograph, but I thought you guys should see the entire book. So, try not to notice the glare ;-)

The silhouette of the children is of coarse A Child's Year at 10 1/2".

The children are from My Community(aren't they too cute!) and are cut at 6 3/4".

This is the final page of this 12 x 12 book. 'First grade' is cut at 3 1/2"

Have a great day!
