Butterfly Imagine More Layout

Hello, faithful Everyday Cricut followers! We are just having too much fun making stuff with this machine! I know there are a few of you that look forward to us going back to the Expression, but I have to admit that will be hard to do. Something to consider for those of you who are not interested in the machine at all (stay tuned though because I think you might soon be tempted), anything made using the regular cricut cartridges can be easily duplicated using your Expression or baby bug. Also, it should be noted that the Imagine is basically an Expression Plus (Joy's new term). It does a lot of the things the Expression does PLUS a few more. Fear not though because we will still be showing the Expression most of the time.

Now on to today's layout...

True confession time....Joy and I just cut a ton of stuff with her Imagine machine to check it out. Then we were left with a big pile of cuts. We then thought it prudent to use as many of these cuts in projects as we could. This layout is one such project.  I have to admit it was made in record time for me. The cuts were done, so it was merely a matter of matching paper and sticking everything down. This is a very, very simple layout. It is one for those minimal scrappers out there. I usually pile more things on, but I think it's simplicity shows off these pretty butterflies.

All cardstock is Core'dinations. Patterned back ground paper is My Mind's Eye.

Don't forget to check back in tomorrow for our last Imagine project of the week. Also, don't forget to leave comments on every post this week, so you will have more chances to win the FABULOUS Happy Hauntings cartridge!

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Thanks for telling us that, sometimes I just want to cut stuff out and play with my Cricut. I don't always have a project for the things I cut out but I end up finding things to use them on at a later time! I am glad I am not the only one who does this! :-)

LaTonya said...

Ok, you guys are making me more convinced to buy one. Love the butterfly. 1 question though. Is there any way to do an invitation on a shape? For example if I am having a princess party can I use the OUAP cartridge and the Imagine will print the cut the who, where all that good stuff too on one layer? I would love to see a project like that.
Thanks Ladies

I like how you inked the edges. That draws the attention away from that stark white border that I don't really like - and is uneven on a lot of the cuts I've seen.

So I just saved up enough to get my Expressions Pink Version and now we have a new machine. Maybe I am old fashion but I like the Expression and taking the time to put everything together. The new machine as easy as it looks takes all the fun out of thinking and creating YOUR OWN work.

Thanks for showing us the new machine and answering our questions. Here's one I haven't seen asked/answered:

Have you used non-smooth white cardstock to print or print/cut on? So many of the card stocks now have some bit, even if only a tiny bit of texture, that I'm wondering how the printing looks.

I also want to know how the printing would look on the white side of patterned paper? Have you tried that yet? Curious b/c of the different paper weight, etc.

THANKS again for the projects and fielding our questions!!

Thank you ladies for showing me why I won't be getting this machine. If this machine had been what yaw started with I would not have become a follower. I hate everything about this layout. It looks fake, just like you cut pictures out of a book and glued them on. The cricut gives your pages a great 3d look. I was saving all of yaws project until you started with the imaine, now I delete them to the trash. Really let down with this site right now. In my opinion, provo craft struck out with this machine.
