Today's fun Christmas 5" x 7" card was made by first taking a sheet of green cardstock sized at 10" x 7" and folding it. I rounded the edges using a corner punch. Next, I layered various KI Memories papers and a striped ribbon for a background. The pink paper was punched using the Fiskars threading water punch. I love this bright KI Memories Christmas paper!
Using the Songbird Cricut cartridge, I cut the background shape for the trees (frame2) at both 4" (using the striped patterned paper) and 4-1/4"(white). This cartridge has six shapes that are fantastic for making these backgrounds for your focal point die cut or stamp.
To make the trees, I used the Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Cartridge (available at Walmart) using Club Scrap and Core'dinations cardstocks, as well as DCWV glitter paper for the star and ornaments. I overlapped them and for the center tree, I used pop dots to make it stand out. Also to showcase the center tree, I used red ornaments and star.
My sentiment was from Papertrey Ink (PTI), which I mounted onto a die cut shape made using a die from PTI. Inked edges help bring out the sentiment.
I decorated the inside using scraps from the project making a more complete card.

I am usually very biased against Christmas cards that aren't religious in nature, but I adore this one. I am going to try to make one like it! (I LOVE MY CRICUT!) I only have one cartridge, but I just got my cricut. I can't make cards for my Mother anymore. She had stage IV cancer and died just this last week.
