Sweet Baby Boy Card - Nursery Rhymes Cartridge!

Hi, this is Joy and today's Sweet Baby Boy card uses the new Nursery Rhymes Cricut cartridge and fits in a standard long envelope. The card is actually cut from an 8" x 9-1/4" and folded in half to make a 4" x 9-1/4" card.

This cartridge has a monogram font feature and I cut the "BABY" letters at 2-1/2" in cream, ran these through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder and then mounted onto teal Core'dinations cardstock cut at 2-3/4" using the solid key. I then pop dotted these onto the card.

The blue gingham paper is from Cosmo Cricket. The fencing background was punched using a Martha Stewart punch. The stamp is from Papertrey Ink and punched out using an SU! punch. Ribbon is from Michaels and button is from Basic Grey.

I just added a strip of coordinating paper inside to dress it up a little.

Thanks to everyone who joined in on the Ustream last night! We appreciate you!!

Join us for tomorrow's "A Guy's Perspective" by Scrapguy. He will be featuring different cartridges and showing how they can be changed up to have a more masculine look. He will help you to papercraft for all the men in your life. This will be a regular feature on the 4th Saturday of the month.

Here's a short bio about Scrapguy:

Scrapguy, also known to his family and friends as Bryan, is a Mancrafter--that's right a man who crafts. Bryan works in product development for a National Men's Wear Company and got into paper crafting because he was looking for a creative outlet. He has been scrapbooking for almost 7 years and just got into card making a few months ago. His blog, Scrapguy, was started late last year and has grown a strong following. He is a collector of paper (has a full 6 shelf bookcase full of it) and cricut cartridges (has almost 100). Bryan will be bringing his unique take and artistic eye to Everyday Cricut on the 4th Saturday of each month!

Don't miss out on Scrapguy's creations and perspective tomorrow!

REally adorable. it's so hard to make such intricate cuts on the cricut as I see you did the fencing background using a Martha Stewart punch. You would think with owing 99.9% of the cartridges that I wouldn't have to buy punches but, sometimes for small intricate cuts there really is not a good work around...yet. TFS!
