Scrapbook Thursday - Sweethearts Cartridge

I don't do a lot of scrapbooking, don't have the time really, but I do love making mini albums as gifts. We went to a wedding last summer. I made an album in advance, very similar to this one today (using hearts from the Doodlecharms cartridge) in the bride's colours of mocha and very pale pearl pink, took loads of photos, then quickly printed them out at home and finished the album. I was able to give it to the newlyweds the next day before they left for their honeymoon, and they were over the moon with it, it went with them to South Africa, and they had shown it to so many people that it was quite dog eared by the time it came back to the UK!
First of all some photos, the hearts were cut at 6" (page 72 Sweethearts cartridge)

Some shots of the 'pages', the corner punch is by Marvy, the flowers are some of those I showed in my video yesterday
I love mixing red with pink...............

The die cut sentiment is from page 39 (shift) of sweethearts. I popped it into a xyron backwards, so that the adhesive was on the front, and covered it in glitter (sparkling ice by Great Impressions)
All the embellishments are stuck on with repositional adhesive, so you can lift them to position your photos

Here's a couple of videos - I am getting quite carried away with doing these now, note the rather strange camera angle, put it down to the new tripod, but you get the idea....................

As I said in the video, I really have no need for this little book this year - no weddings to go to as far as I know, and no special anniversaries either, so if any of you have a special wedding day or anniversary coming up and would be able to use this little album, just pop over and leave your name on my blog - I will throw in a few other goodies to go with it for you. If more than one of you wants it, I'll put the names in a hat on saturday morning. Scroll down for the post.....

I got a camera, thanks to all of you who emailed me with advice. I just wanted a point and shoot model, and went for the olympus x43, on the hugely technical basis that it was the best price I could find for a 14 MP camera.

I have no 'funny' stories to share with you today, yesterday was a pretty average sort of day. The camera purchase was uneventful, and my crafting session was much as usual .................sit at desk, stare at wall, look at ceiling for inspiration, make a cup of coffee, stare at the wall a bit more, pick out some paper, make some cuts and tear the paper as I lift them off the mat, drop a red inkpad face down on my nice cream carpet (just missing the carefully placed carpet protector of course), stare at wall a bit more, have another coffee, drop a big blob of glue right in the middle of a finished embellishment.....................oh yes, a pretty average sort of day. Do you have average sort of days too?

See you all tomorrow I hope, it will be my last day, it's Fancy Card Friday, and I have a couple of cards and a video to share.

Lovely mini-album! I think I need to make some for future wedding/shower gifts. As for the ink on carpet, spray some Club Soda on the spot, leave it be (don't blot or anything) & check it tomorrow- the stain should be gone! Cheapest stain remover ever, besides shaving cream... Gets out blood, wine, etc!

I think I have average days too. Only my craft table is turned so I see the rest of the room with my back to the wall. I don't think I could stand staring at the wall! I'd be able to have the storage space on the wall, but I think it would make me nuttier than I already am! Oh and we live in an apartment, that has chosen light tan carpets!!! We've been here 2 years, and have had to clean the carpet 3 times!(and it needs it again) The stupid carpet collects everything but money and men!!! Have a great day and thanks for the videos.

Beautiful Enfys! Such a sweet and elegant mini album. I Love it!

Your stories always make me laugh, and I can use it! As for "average" days, I have them all the time, a chunk of cheese fell onto the kitchen floor while I was using my Norwegian cheese slicer to cut cheese for my daughter's sandwich, my Hubby & I tried to figure out daughter's password at the SAT site only to be denied, now we will have to wait to find out her scores..(I know..bad Parents!), and I am forever dropping items everywhere, but luckily, my carpet is brown, so not much shows up there, but of course there is glitter everywhere in the house, that is a given.

I did of course suffer severe back spasms last night after making risotto, but I can't say no to my family, they love it!

Your days seem much more exciting than mine, and yes, glue can be dangerous.

I hope your evening is wonderful, and have a fantastic tomorrow, look forward to seeing more of your lovely work!

*hugs*

That is a great album. I love all the little extra's you put in it. And yes, I can relate to your average craft day.
