Quick Card Monday - Paisley Cartridge

Hi everyone, it's Enfys here. Thank you Melanie for the warm welcome.
I was dead chuffed when the Calendar girls asked me to guest this spot for February, and once I had established that no nudity was involved, I have been really looking forward to it.
My holiday is Valentines but I have tried to make cards and projects that can be used throughout the year for other 'lovey' occasions like anniversaries and weddings
A word about my crafting style, I suppose I am a bit of an 'old fashioned' Cricut user, I love my expression and find I can make the cuts I want just with the machine - I do use a gypsy, but can't in any way be called a gypsy designer. I love the ease and convenience of this little machine, especially the fact that I no longer have to lug cartridges and handbooks backwards and forwards across the Atlantic, but my Cricut style remains the same - put paper on mat, cut and stick. So there will be no cut files from me this week, and I dedicate the week to all my fellow Cricut users who use their fabulous machines in the same way that I do (I think there are a good number of us out there............)
So, on to my first card, I couldn't resist this charming little elephant from the Paisley Cartridge, and had to use pattern paper for her, a favourite technique of mine with Cricut cuts, and a few eyelashes..

Here's the video of how I made the card

I must share with you the hassle that this video caused. The cameraman was Mike, my husband, who seems to think he is Steven Speilberg and insists on panning in and out to show me in all my glory - old jeans, no make up, the works. So the first video was ruined by my hissing loudly NOT ME JUST THE CARD
So, in the interests of marital harmony, (well this week is all about love) I tootled down to the local camera shop and asked the sales assistant for 'one of those stand thingys for a flip camera'. He instantly (and correctly) summed me up as someone who didn't have a clue, switched on his best 'blind her with science' patronising sales patter, and started to demonstrate their most expensive model. To my delight, the leg fell off. 'Oh dear' he said in consternation 'whatever happened here?' 'The leg fell off' I pointed out helpfully (don't you just love it when this sort of thing happens?). So I purchased the cheapest model, and it is fine, the leg hasn't fallen off, and there is no hissing on the sound track.

Be sure to leave a comment on this post to be in with a chance of winning this weeks fabulous cartridge giveaway, and please come back tomorrow, to see how I made my giftwrap Tuesday project using Pagoda. If you want to see lots more of my Cricut cards, hop over to my blog, grab a coffee, and browse around for a while.
