Well, CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who got Gypsy's from Santa! NOW what do you do with it?! Here are some tips:
1) Before doing anything else... REGISTER your Gypsy with Provocraft at http://www.cricut.com/gypsy/gettingstarted.aspx
2) You will also find the online manual to your gypsy at the same website. I wouldn't worry about printing it, but would definitely bookmark this page.
3) Check out the GYPSY FORUM over on the cricut messageboard! There are some great gals over there who can answer any question that you may have and there's a whole lot of sharing going on over there!
3) Get comfy and spend some time watching these GREAT gypsy videos out there!! Here are a few of my favorites:

- TheBugBytes (Pam) at http://www.thebugbytes.com/
- ScrappinGrandma (Mary) at http://scrapbookinggrandma.blogspot.com/
4) You should also visit the challenge blog called THE GYPSY SPOT. Nilda has put together a pretty talented design team. You can reach it HERE.

thanks for the info, unfortanately i got a cartridge that required updating the software on my gypsy and it has been stuck on the loading screen since christmas. Hopefully i can get some help this morning.

Great info to have for all the new Gypsy owners. I've had my G for some time now and sure wish info like this had been available as I was struggling to learn it. Now that I am more comfortable ... I am totally loving my G!!!

I got my gypsy when it first came out on HSN and use it all the time. Can't wait to see what you girls come up with in the new year!
I got my Cricut E for Christmas, so it will likely be NEXT Christmas before a Gypsy ends up in my hands. :-) I still watch the videos though - every little bit of pre-knowledge helps! I was able to use my Cricut right away, thanks to all the helpful videos out there that I watched well before the holidays.

I have had my Gypsy for a few months..I love it!! I find myself using it all the time,even if I'm not on the go.. I love being able to weld and create on the screen then cutting it with my Cricut... that is a big plus to me.. I think I just reached 25 carts so a gypsy would be nice. I don't want to spend $100 for 3 jukeboxes so I guess I will have to wait til someone has a big sale on one. Sniffle

I dont know if you girls can answer this or not but one thing I dont understand is why provo craft does not send out a email to those that have registered their gypsy and let them know updates are available. It would also be nice to know what some of these updates are going to do. There was an update 12.23 that added a photo option to the gypsy but I dont see how that will work. We all have computers if yo have a gypsy so why do you need to view photos on your gypsy? Unless there is something I'm not getting. I wish you did not have to constantly check their website for updates. Any ideas??? You girls have the connections so I'm hoping you can help.

Gesh, I did not get a Gyspy for Christmas but did get the Expression Cricut, I have the baby personal Cricut so this is a nice change. I hope to win or get a Gypsy next year since no birthday till November..I have some waiting to do.lol.oh well congratulations to all who got one and some day I will join you just glad for what I have now.

Ladies, I just want to thank you so very much for this blog! It might sound corny but its heartfelt. Until I found this blog, I'd had my cricut for 4 years and barely touched it. I'd tried a few times at cutting letters and thought "its ok, I guess" and never really used it. And then along came you ladies and its changed my perspective completely. I went from owning 5 cartridges to over 40 and have used my Cricut non-stop for all types of holiday projects. And even better, I was able to share what I had learnt from your articles at a scrapping weekend and made new friends that I now scrap with on a weekly basis.
I am not sure how you manage your own blogs this blog, all the projects and working and raising families but THANKS! You are scrapping Angels ;-) Can't wait to see what you have planned for the new year
I've had my gypsy for 2 months but have not used it much yet. I used ot for the first car with the car adapter on a 2 hour drive today - so much fun.
Just had to share this, my daughter had surgery at a children's hospital in SC today. The waiting room was decorated with snowflakes from WICO! I felt as though all you folks from Christmas with the Cricut were there wishing us luck. She pulled through beautifully and we are already home in GA.

Yes, you will love you gypsy. But, if you are a lucky one, it won't break and have to be sent back for 4 weeks. It's very frustrating when you buy something for $300 bucks and it breaks within 2 months.

Santa bought me a cricut and I absolutely love it. My daughter is heading to africa for a holiday and I have already made her a memory book / journal for her trip with cartridges I had borrowed from a friend.
