Hello Everyone! This is Tammy with your Tuesday Home Decor! Wow! We are in WEEK8 with only 14 weeks left in our countdown to Christmas! I tell ya... Joy, Melanie and I are totally enjoying this adventure and are so happy that so many are sharing it with us! This week we add yet another element to our blog that we feel will make it even better... patterned paper sponsors! Our first weekly sponsor is no other than COSMO CRICKET and not only do you get to preview the new SWEETHEART cartridge from Provocraft, but you get to preview the new 2009 Christmas line from COSMO CRICKET called 'Jolly By Golly'. Click HERE to see the whole line and to order.
I teamed the COSMO CRICKET patterned papers up with my favorite CORE'DINATIONS of course! Used the CHOCOLATE BOX collection... yum!

Added a little sage green ribbon...
... and some plastic lightweight clothes pins.
I used the Corner Medallion from the new SWEETHEART cricut cartridge, cut at 2 3/4" with a Core'dinations whitewash with a cream backing. I embossed each medallion with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.
I shadowed my medallions with the Core'dinations Chocolate with green backing...
...then lightly sanded my shadow pieces and my medallions. Like Melanie said yesterday, you have to be careful sanding this delicate cut. A little tip: I glued it to the shadow piece and then sanded it.

I covered my 12"x6" piece of chipboard with my red holly COSMO CRICKET paper, then lined my corner medallions down each side as a border. Shadowed my 'Playday' paper (COSMO CRICKET) with some CORE'DINATIONS Chocolate Box with a red backing, sanded the edges and pop dotted the whole thing.
The top of my card holder is alot like the popular top note, but I like this one better. It is called 'cartoche' and is located on the SWEETHEART cartridge. I cut it at 7 3/4" out of chipboard with my deep cut blade, using the MULTI CUT at 3 times. Then layered it first with the Core'dinations Chocolate Box with red backing, second with the Cosmo Cricket 'playday' paper and last with a Core'dinations cream cardstock which I inked the edges with red.
The sentiment "Season's Greetings" is from the CHRISTMAS NOEL cartridge. It was cut at 2 1/2" out of the Core'dinations Chocolate Box with a sage green backing. I then turned the cardstock over (with the green backing facing up) and cut the shadow pieces. I embossed the words with my Cuttlebug Damask folder. The chipboard holly is also from the Cosmo Cricket Holly By Jolly line.
Here it is hanging on my entryway closet door with Christmas cards clipped to it.
I love how the center piece turned out... those corner medallions make a great border and would look beautiful on a scrapbook layout also.
I connected my two pieces together with my sage ribbon.
Here's a peek at the back... see... just two pieces of chipboard and six clothespins. Add 2 yards of ribbon and 6 pieces of cardstock and you got a pretty inexpensive project!
If you don't want to clip several cards in each clothespin, you can easily add one or two more 6"x12" pieces of chipboard to the bottom and connect them with matching ribbon.
If you don't want to clip several cards in each clothespin, you can easily add one or two more 6"x12" pieces of chipboard to the bottom and connect them with matching ribbon.
Hope you liked my Christmas Card Holder featuring the new SWEETHEARTS & CHRISTMAS NOEL cartridges, Core'dinations Chocolate Box & Whitewash cardstock and the new 'kid' on the blog... COSMO CRICKET'S Jolly By Golly 2009 Christmas line.
Tomorrow, Melanie will blow you away with Gift Tags and the cutest package/box yet!!

I love this card holder. I have a friend that lives in an assisted living community. I can see the beautiful top part hanging on her door instead of the traditional Christmas wreath. Her door would be the talk of the community. Her neighbors might even be a little jealous. Thanks.
