Hi, this is Joy and it has been an exciting week here at Christmas with the Cricut! We have been rushing about, making live streams and videos and learning the Gypsy and creating projects! I think I need a vacation! Ha, ha!
Today's 5.5" x 5.5" card was made using the Cosmo Cricket line, Jolly by Golly, this week's patterned paper sponsor. Melanie showed you the paper pack that will be given away this week in her product review - SO CUTE! My cardstock was of course, Core'dinations and I embossed it using the Cuttlebug Snow Dots and Swiss Dots folders, then lightly sanded it to reveal the lighter colors beneath. Now, for the shaped section, often called Top Note by scrapbookers....that shape is found on the new Gypsy Wanderings cartridge, which is bundled into the Gypsy and not sold by stand alone cartridge at this time. It is fantastic! The little bird came from Gypsy Font, another bundled cartridge. See the bottom of the post for a link to those cartridge handbooks because there are some really great images on these two cartridges. The striped paper is cut at 5.25" x 1.5" and the solid green is embossed and cut at 5.5" x 2". Mini-brads were using in the corner and the whole shaped section was pop dotted.
Finally, the word art and bird were made using the Gypsy and the weld feature. The font for "Joy to the world" is from Don Juan (now available on the Cricut Rewards section). I made a video below detailing how to weld using the Gypsy - it is really easy!
To see how to work with the Core'dinations paper, see THIS POST by Melanie! She shows lots of ways to play with this cardstock!

Cute card but I don't have a single one of the carts you used....I guess I will have to substitute if I make one.
I love the gypsy! Is there anything it can't do??? Will it do my laundry?
Fabulous card. So in love with these papers. Such a nostalgic feel. Thanks for all your hard work!

love this card, at first i didn't think I wanted a gypsy. But now I do
Joy, I love what yu did witht eh inside of this card. It is just the extra touch a handmade card needs. Thanks for the idea. You are constantly adding bricks to my chimney of knowledge.
Love the card! and love the gypsy although I'm not familiar with what exactly a gypsy is but it looks really cool.
Thank you for explaining this so clearly. I have been playing with my gypsy, but not really using it efficiently. i like the negative 05 cue to kernaling then using the arrows in small increments to make it perfect....
Oh thank you! I love learning from you all :)
